Nuit Blanche Toronto 2026 runs from 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 3 to 7 a.m. on Sunday, October 4. It is city-wide, with most projects downtown, so a Nuit Blanche limo works best as an hourly chauffeur: $130–150 per hour in a sedan, $225–270 in a Sprinter, 3-hour minimum, all-in plus HST, dropping you at the edge of each exhibition area.
Nuit Blanche Toronto limo: why hourly beats point-to-point
Nuit Blanche is a free, all-night celebration of contemporary art produced by the City of Toronto, and its official page lists this year's edition for October 3, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The art is spread across public spaces and cultural sites, mostly downtown with projects further afield. Crowds are on foot, streets close around the busiest installations and ordinary taxis vanish around 1 a.m. when half the city tries to go home at once.
That is why a Nuit Blanche limo from TorontoAirportTransfer.services is almost always an hourly chauffeur booking rather than a one-way fare. The car stays with your group all night, the chauffeur knows which streets are closed and where to meet you next, and you walk between the installations without worrying about how you get to the next cluster or home. The fixed hourly total appears in the reservation engine before you confirm.
Date, hours and where the art is
The City of Toronto's Nuit Blanche page is the source for the 2026 edition: October 3, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. This year marks the event's 20th edition since it began in 2006. The City organises projects into exhibition areas, mostly downtown, with independent projects at galleries and institutions across Toronto. The map and project list are published on the official site in the days before the event; plan your route from that, not from last year's.
We have no connection to the festival or the City's programme; we drive you to it. Tell dispatch the two or three areas you most want to see and the chauffeur will plan the order to minimise backtracking around closures.

How the night works from the car
The chauffeur picks you up at 7 or 8 p.m., usually at home or a hotel. Downtown, they drop you at the edge of the first exhibition area, on an open street a block or two from the installations, then park or stage nearby. You walk the area, text when you are ready and walk to the agreed pickup corner. The car takes you to the next area, often 10 to 20 minutes away through side streets, and the pattern repeats.
Expect short hops rather than door-to-door service at each artwork: police and City crews close the busiest blocks, and nobody can drive into a pedestrian crowd. The value of the car is the jump between areas and the ride home at 2 a.m., not a curb at every piece.
Planning fares and hours for Nuit Blanche
Planning figures, all-in plus HST; the reservation engine quotes the exact hours, start address and vehicle.
| Vehicle | Seats | Hourly planning figure | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | 3 | $130–150/h | 3 h |
| Executive SUV | 6 | $160–190/h | 3 h |
| Sprinter | 14 | $225–270/h | 3 h |
| Stretch limousine (partner) | 8–10 | $225–330/h | 4 h |
| Party bus (partner) | 16–36 | $330–525/h | 4–5 h |
Most groups book four to six hours: 8 p.m. to midnight for a family or an early-evening crowd, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. for adults doing the full night. Stretch limousines and party buses come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network; see our rates page for all bands.
Choosing the vehicle for your group
A couple or three friends are best in a business sedan: nimble on side streets and easy to stop. Four to six people fit an executive SUV, which also carries coats and a thermos. Groups of seven to fourteen, whether a company outing, a class of art students or a birthday crowd, go in a Sprinter, which can still use most downtown streets but needs a slightly wider curb.
Party buses and stretch limos are fun for a celebration, but on Nuit Blanche they are the least nimble option in closed-street downtown. If you want one anyway, accept longer walks to the pickup points and let the coordinator plan the route. Our party bus and limo bus page explains partner fulfilment.
Drop-off strategy from the dispatch desk
The plan that works best is to start furthest from the centre and work inward. Early in the evening, outer projects are quieter and roads are clear. By 11 p.m. the downtown areas are at their busiest; being dropped at their edge and walking in beats circling blocks in the car. After 2 a.m. the downtown crowds thin and traffic eases, which makes a late downtown loop pleasant.
Pick pickup corners on streets that stay open, such as a major road one block outside the exhibition area, and send the chauffeur a pin. Avoid asking for pickup directly outside a headline installation; that corner will be full of people. Keep phones charged, because the whole night runs on messages between you and the car.
Getting home safely at 2 or 3 a.m.
Most people who have done Nuit Blanche remember the ride home. Subway and streetcar service varies by year, and rideshare surge pricing and long waits are common in the small hours. With an hourly booking the ride home is already covered: the chauffeur brings the car to your last pickup point and drives everyone to their doors, including stops in different neighbourhoods if you list them at booking.
If you only want a ride home and not a car all night, a point-to-point pickup at a set time is possible, but book it well in advance and choose a pickup corner outside the closures. Check TTC for any extended service before you decide.

Families and early evenings
Nuit Blanche is not only a late-night event. Families with children often visit between 7 and 10 p.m., when installations are at their most impressive in the new dark and the crowds are manageable. Book three hours with a sedan or SUV, fit car seats at booking (see our child car seat transfers), and be home by bedtime.
We fit a proper seat for every child who needs one, infant, convertible or booster, on request. Ontario's child car seat guidance explains which stage each child needs.
Coming in for the night from the suburbs or the airport
Many visitors come in from Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham or Oakville, and some plan a weekend around the event. For suburban starts, the hourly clock starts at your pickup, so leaving from Markham at 8 p.m. uses part of your block on the drive in. If you want to save money, take GO or the subway in early and have the chauffeur pick you up downtown; the car then drives you home at the end.
Out-of-town visitors landing at Pearson on Saturday afternoon can book a Pearson to downtown Toronto transfer to the hotel, then a separate evening hourly block. Early October weather is usually mild, but evenings can be cool and wet; check Environment Canada.
Accessibility at Nuit Blanche
Walking between artworks is a large part of the night, and crowds make wheelchairs, walkers and strollers harder to manage. A car on standby reduces walking by taking you from area to area and closer to the accessible routes the City publishes. Ramp-equipped vehicles are available through our wheelchair-accessible transfer service; ask at booking so dispatch can send the right one.
Tell the chauffeur the pace you want. There is no obligation to see everything, and a well-chosen three or four stops can be the best night.
Celebrations, dates and groups
Nuit Blanche is a popular night for anniversaries, first dates and friend groups. A first-class sedan with a bottle of water and blankets in the trunk, a slow route along the waterfront at midnight and a late supper somewhere open all night make for a memorable evening. Our date night and proposals page has ideas; guests of legal drinking age can travel with alcohol only where Ontario law and our vehicle policies permit, and never open in the car unless the vehicle is licensed for it.
For company teams and cultural organisations moving artists or guests between venues, a Sprinter on an overnight block is the usual answer; talk to a coordinator for multiple vehicles.
Booking lead time for Nuit Blanche
Nuit Blanche falls on one Saturday night, and the city's chauffeured fleet is finite. Sprinters, SUVs and partner party buses are the first to go. With only days to go before October 3, book as soon as you have your group size, and expect late requests to be limited to what is left.
Cancellation follows our sitewide rule: more than 72 hours before pickup, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %, measured from the scheduled pickup.
What to bring and what to leave in the car
October nights in Toronto swing from pleasant to raw, and you will be outdoors for hours. Bring layers, comfortable shoes and a phone charger; leave spare jackets, umbrellas, bags and anything you bought at an all-night café in the locked car between areas. On an hourly booking the vehicle is effectively your cloakroom for the night.
The chauffeur keeps water on board and can adjust the temperature between stops. If someone in the group gets tired or cold, the car can take them home and come back for the others, which is simply logged as time on the same booking.
A sample route from the dispatcher's notebook
8:00 pm pickup in Etobicoke with four adults in an executive SUV. First stop at an outer cultural site while the roads are clear. 10:00 pm across to the edge of the first downtown exhibition area, dropped on an open cross street. Midnight, text the chauffeur, walk two blocks to the agreed corner and move to the next area. 1:30 am, a late snack at a place open all night. 2:30 am, everyone home in two different neighbourhoods. Six and a half hours on the clock, one fixed hourly total, nobody standing on a corner trying to find a ride.
The same plan works in reverse for guests starting downtown and finishing at a project further out, when the downtown crowds become too much.
Nuit Blanche for visitors staying downtown
If your hotel is near Union Station, King West or Yorkville, you can walk to much of the downtown programme and may not need a car until later. Many hotel guests book a shorter block from midnight to 3 am, using the chauffeur to reach projects further from the core and to get back to the hotel without the walk. The hourly minimum of three hours fits that pattern well.
Guests who fly out the next morning can add a Sunday Pearson airport limo booking to the same reservation.
After Nuit Blanche: other late nights worth a car
The rest of the year has other nights when a car on call beats a taxi queue: New Year's Eve and Canada Day fireworks, concert nights and playoff games. Our guides to New Year's Eve and Canada Day and the full Toronto events calendar cover those.
