Toronto Pearson airport to Niagara Falls is about 125 km and usually 80–100 minutes by car via Highway 427 or 403 and the QEW, longer in rush hour. Shuttles and buses cost less per seat but take longer.

The route: 427 or 403, then the QEW
From Pearson, the chauffeur heads south on Highway 427 to the Queen Elizabeth Way, or west on the 401 and 403 to join the QEW at Oakville, depending on live traffic. From there the QEW follows the Lake Ontario shoreline through Oakville and Burlington, crosses the Burlington Bay James N. Allan Skyway, passes Hamilton, Grimsby and St. Catharines, and reaches Niagara Falls, about 125 km in total. The last stretch leaves the QEW at McLeod Road or Highway 420 toward the Rainbow Bridge and Fallsview. When the QEW through Mississauga is jammed, the 407 ETR sometimes saves 15–20 minutes; if we take it, the toll is already inside your fixed fare. Background on the highway is on the QEW page, and live closures on 511 Ontario.
How long it takes by time of day
Typical Pearson to Niagara Falls hotel times by car:
- Late evening and early morning: 75–85 minutes.
- Weekday midday: 85–100 minutes.
- Weekday evening rush, about 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.: 110–150 minutes, as the QEW through Oakville and Burlington slows badly.
- Summer Fridays and long weekends heading to Niagara: add 20–40 minutes.
- Winter lake-effect snow near Grimsby and St. Catharines: add time; dispatch updates you.
Your fare does not change with traffic. If you land at 4:30 p.m. on a Friday in July, it helps to know the drive may be two hours.

Is there a shuttle from Toronto airport to Niagara Falls?
Yes: several private companies run shared shuttle vans between Pearson and Niagara Falls hotels, priced per seat. They can be good value for a solo traveller who is not in a hurry. The trade-offs are that the van waits for other passengers' flights, drops at several hotels, and may have fixed departure times, so a 90-minute drive becomes two or three hours. If you want a shuttle-style trip but only for your own party, a private airport shuttle in a luxury van or Sprinter is priced per vehicle, not per head: for a family of five or a wedding party of twelve, splitting one fare narrows the gap with shared-shuttle seats, and you leave when you land.
Transit: GO trains and buses to Niagara
There is no direct train from Pearson to Niagara Falls. The transit route is UP Express from Terminal 1 to Union Station, then a GO train or bus to Niagara. GO Transit runs direct trains between Union and Niagara Falls GO station on some days and at some times, with more service in summer and on weekends; at other times you connect by GO bus via Burlington or St. Catharines. Schedules change by season, so check the GO trip planner rather than relying on any fixed timetable. Niagara Falls GO station is next to the VIA station on Bridge Street, a few kilometres from Fallsview, so you still need a taxi or local bus for the last leg. With two suitcases, a stroller and jet lag, this is a long afternoon.
Where the chauffeur meets you at Pearson
The fare includes curbside pickup at your terminal's pre-arranged commercial pickup area. Air Canada and most Star Alliance flights arrive at Terminal 1; WestJet, Porter and many others use Terminal 3, and you can confirm yours with our terminal finder. After customs and baggage you message the chauffeur and walk out to the marked zone. For a welcome inside the arrivals hall with a name board, add meet and greet at booking, planning figure $25–35. Flights are tracked, with 60 minutes of included waiting from actual landing for international arrivals and 30 minutes for Canadian and US, then 15-minute blocks.
Drop-off at Fallsview, Clifton Hill and beyond
The chauffeur drops you at your hotel's main entrance or porte-cochère. The big Fallsview Boulevard hotels and the casino resort have covered drop-off loops; Clifton Hill hotels are on steep streets with tighter curbs, and Lundy's Lane motels have parking lots right at the door. Vacation rentals and bed and breakfasts in residential streets are fine too; add any gate codes or parking notes at booking. If your first stop is a winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, an attraction such as the Niagara Falls attraction page describes, or a relative's home in Welland, tell us; the engine prices the exact address. Niagara Parks runs most of the sights along the river, with details on niagaraparks.com.

Families, car seats and long-haul arrivals
Niagara Falls is a family destination, and most families arrive after a long flight. That is the case for a car: children sleep on the QEW rather than being walked through Union Station. Child seats (infant, convertible, booster) are on request; add them at booking and they are fitted before pickup. Ontario's car-seat rules exempt taxis and buses for hire, but we fit a seat for every child who needs one regardless, following Ontario's guidance on choosing a car seat. Four people with four large cases need an executive SUV or luxury van, not a sedan. More on child car seat transfers.
Weddings, groups and tours
Niagara weddings bring guests from all over the world through Pearson on the same day. A coordinator can time a Sprinter to a cluster of arrivals, or send several vehicles to several flights, all charged to one account. Stretch limousines, party buses and coaches for wedding days are fulfilled by vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network and priced in writing by a coordinator. If you want to see the Falls without staying the night, our Niagara Falls tours from Toronto are hourly charters with the chauffeur waiting while you visit. Wine lovers can add a Niagara wine tour on the way.
Niagara Falls to Toronto airport: the return trip
For the return, Niagara Falls to Toronto airport, the engine suggests a pickup time based on your flight, the day and the season. As a rule, leave Fallsview about three and a half to four hours before an international departure and three hours before a domestic flight; on weekday afternoons and summer Sundays, when the QEW toward Toronto is at its slowest, add more. The chauffeur arrives at your hotel entrance a few minutes early, and 15 minutes of waiting is included. We drop at the departures door for your airline at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. Many travellers book both directions together; the fare for each leg is fixed at booking.
Crossing to the US side
If your hotel or event is in Niagara Falls, New York, the trip continues over the Rainbow Bridge or Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. We run cross-border trips with our own chauffeurs; every passenger needs a valid passport or other accepted document, and entry decisions are made by US officers. Plan extra time for the bridge queue, especially on summer weekends. See cross-border limo to the USA for how these trips are booked. If you are flying into Niagara Falls International (IAG) or Buffalo instead of Pearson, see our Buffalo airport route. Returning to Canada, the CBSA publishes border wait times and rules.
Weather and seasons on the QEW
Summer is peak season in Niagara, with the heaviest traffic on Friday afternoons into Niagara and Sunday afternoons back toward Toronto. Autumn brings the harvest and wine festival weekends, and in winter the Winter Festival of Lights draws evening crowds to the Fallsview area. Lake-effect snow can fall hard around Grimsby and St. Catharines even when Toronto is clear. Our chauffeurs drive this corridor constantly and adjust departures accordingly; you can check the forecast on weather.gc.ca. Whatever the weather, the fixed fare stays the same, and flight tracking means a delayed arrival does not cost you extra waiting within the included window.
Booking, changes and cancellation
Enter your flight number, the Niagara address, passengers, bags and any child seats in the booking engine, choose the vehicle and confirm the fixed fare. Your confirmation includes the pickup instructions for your terminal and the chauffeur's details on the day. Changes are free more than 72 hours before pickup. After that, the sitewide rule applies: 72 hours or less before pickup, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %, measured from the scheduled pickup. A delayed flight is never treated as a no-show. For the city itself, the Niagara Falls city page lists the local transfers we run, and Niagara Falls Tourism has visitor information.
