A Markham airport limo from TorontoAirportTransfer.services is a pre-booked chauffeured car at a fixed fare. Planning figures from Pearson airport to Markham run $145–180 one way in a business sedan, all-in with 407 tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity, plus HST. The run is about 45 km and 35–50 minutes off-peak; the reservation engine quotes your exact address.
Markham limousine service: the Pearson airport run explained
Markham is on the opposite side of the city from the airport, so this is a trip where the choice of road matters. Nearly every address in Markham, from Thornhill east of Yonge to Cornell and Box Grove, is 40 to 55 km from Pearson, and the direct line crosses either the 401, the busiest stretch of highway in the country, or the 407, which is tolled. Our chauffeurs take whichever is faster at the time of pickup, and because 407 tolls are included in the fixed fare, the decision is made on time alone. You book once, see the price, and the car arrives at your door or at the terminal on schedule. There is no meter running while the car crawls past Yonge Street.
Pearson airport to Markham: fares by vehicle (planning figures)
Your precise Markham fare depends on the street, date and vehicle, all of which the reservation engine prices. For budgeting, dispatch works from these planning figures for a one-way trip between Markham and either terminal:
| Vehicle class | Seats / bags | Markham to Pearson, one way (planning) |
|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | 3 / 3 | $145–180 |
| First-class sedan | 3 / 3 | about $220–270 |
| Executive SUV or luxury van | 6 / 6 | about $180–235 |
| Sprinter | 14 / 14 | about $315–400 |
Addresses in the far east of the city, around Box Grove, Cornell and the Donald Cousens Parkway, sit at the top of the band; Thornhill and the Steeles corridor sit lower. All figures include the chauffeur, fuel, tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. See the fixed airport fares page for the full grid.
407 or 401: how the chauffeur picks the road
The two practical routes are:
- Highway 407 west to Highway 427 south, into the airport ramps. On most weekdays this is the steadier option, and the 407 ETR toll is part of your fare.
- Highway 401 west, joined from the 404 or from Kennedy, Markham Road or Warden via local roads, then the 409 or 427 into Pearson. Late at night the 401 is usually as quick and just as comfortable.
From Thornhill and the Yonge corridor, the chauffeur may run west on Highway 7 or Steeles before joining the 407. From Unionville, the 404 south to the 401 is sometimes quicker if the 407 has an incident near the 400 interchange. The dispatcher checks Ontario 511 before each departure, and the fare does not change with the route.
Drive times from Markham by time of day
- Overnight (10 pm–5:30 am): 30–40 minutes from Unionville to Terminal 1 or 3.
- Weekday morning peak (6:30–9:30 am): 50–70 minutes on the 401; 45–55 on the 407.
- Midday: 40–50 minutes.
- Weekday afternoon peak (3–7 pm): 55–80 minutes on the 401; the 407 usually holds nearer 50–60.
- Saturday midday and Sunday evening: 40–55 minutes; the 401 westbound can surprise on Sunday nights.
Because Markham is the longest suburban run in York Region, dispatch recommends booking the earlier end of a pickup window when a flight matters.
Neighbourhoods served across Markham
Pickups cover every part of the City of Markham:
- Unionville — the heritage village on Main Street Unionville and the streets around Toogood Pond, Carlton and Kennedy.
- Markham Village — Main Street Markham North and the older core around Highway 7 and Markham Road.
- Thornhill (Markham side) — east of Yonge, around Bayview, Leslie and John Street.
- Milliken — Steeles and Kennedy, right next to Pacific Mall.
- Cornell, Box Grove and Wismer — the newer eastern and northern subdivisions.
- Angus Glen, Cathedraltown, Berczy Village and Cachet — the north-central neighbourhoods off Major Mackenzie and Kennedy.
- Downtown Markham — the condominium district off Highway 7 and Warden.
Condominium towers with concierge desks are simple: leave the unit number and buzzer code in the booking notes.

Pacific Mall, Unionville and other Markham landmarks
Visitors landing at Pearson often have Markham on their itinerary for reasons beyond business. Pacific Mall at Kennedy and Steeles is one of the largest Asian shopping centres in North America and a common first stop for visiting relatives. Main Street Unionville, with its heritage storefronts and restaurants around Toogood Pond, is where families take guests on their first evening. Markville Mall on Highway 7 and the Flato Markham Theatre on Highway 7 East are also regular drop-offs. For an afternoon of stops, hourly service with an executive SUV means the chauffeur stays with the car, the shopping bags stay in the back and nobody hunts for parking on a busy weekend.
Technology offices, business parks and hotels
Markham has one of the densest concentrations of technology employers in Canada, with offices along Highway 7, Warden, Woodbine, Allstate Parkway and the 404 corridor. That means a steady flow of engineers, auditors and executives between Pearson and meetings in Markham, often on tight timelines. The conference hotels along Warden and Highway 7 host many of them. A corporate car service account lets an office manager book a whole visiting team, see every trip on one invoice and add a cost-centre reference. For roadshows with several stops across York Region and downtown, book hourly so the same chauffeur carries the team from the airport to the last meeting.
When to leave Markham for a flight
Because the drive can swing from 35 minutes to well over an hour, give Markham departures more room than you would from Vaughan or Etobicoke. As a rule of thumb, dispatch suggests leaving Unionville or Cornell about three hours before a domestic departure in the afternoon peak, and about four hours before an international or US flight at the same time of day. Off-peak, two and a half and three and a half hours respectively are comfortable. Those buffers cover check-in, bag drop, security and, for US flights, US preclearance at Pearson. The guide to arriving early at Pearson explains the airline cut-offs.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 for your Markham trip
Tell dispatch which terminal you need, because the 427 and 409 ramps separate for Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Air Canada and most Star Alliance airlines use Terminal 1, while WestJet, Porter and many other carriers use Terminal 3. Rather than relying on an old boarding pass, check the airline booking or the Pearson terminal finder. The two buildings are joined by the free Terminal Link train if a gate changes after you have been dropped off.
The ride home: landing at Pearson, heading to Markham
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and waits at Pearson's pre-arranged commercial pickup area, which is the curbside pickup included in the fare. Sixty minutes of waiting from actual landing are included on international flights and thirty on Canadian and US, enough for customs, bags and the walk out. Further waiting runs in 15-minute blocks. Visiting parents and grandparents who have not been to Pearson before often do better with airport meet and greet, where the chauffeur stands in the arrivals hall with a name board, helps with the trolley and walks them to the car; the planning figure is $25–35.
Multigenerational families, car seats and luggage
A lot of Markham airport trips are family reunions: grandparents arriving for a long stay with four large suitcases, or a family of five heading out for the holidays. Match the vehicle to the bags, not only the passengers. A business sedan takes three passengers and three bags; an executive SUV or luxury van takes six and six; a Sprinter takes fourteen and fourteen. Child seats, including infant, convertible and booster, are provided on request when you add them at booking. Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one; the province's province's car-seat guide explains the stages. The family visits and reunions page covers longer stays and multiple pickups.
Groups and celebrations from Markham
For banquets, weddings and milestone birthdays, the 14-seat Sprinter is the workhorse: one vehicle, one arrival time, and space for everyone's coats and gifts. Larger parties and formal events that call for a stretch limousine, Rolls-Royce or party bus are handled by vetted partner operators from the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network and priced in writing by a coordinator. Our own dispatch runs the sedans, SUVs, luxury vans and Sprinters. For events at hotels and banquet halls along Highway 7, share the venue's loading-door instructions in the booking notes so the chauffeur does not queue at the main entrance behind guest parking.
Local limo uses in Markham
Beyond Pearson, Markham clients book chauffeured cars for:
- Evenings downtown, from the Scotiabank Arena to theatres on King Street, with the car waiting afterwards.
- School proms and graduations, where parents want a known chauffeur and a fixed return time.
- Medical appointments at downtown hospitals, including Sunnybrook and the University Health Network sites.
- Union Station connections for VIA Rail and the UP Express.
- Trips to Billy Bishop airport for Porter flights, where the drive across the city is easier than transit with bags.
Each trip is quoted in advance by the reservation engine.
Winter and holiday timing from Markham
Snow slows the 401 and the 404 more than the 407, which is often ploughed and salted early. On a snowy morning, dispatch adds twenty to thirty minutes to Markham departures and upgrades to SUVs where the booking allows. December and March Break are the heaviest airport seasons for Markham families, and dates around Lunar New Year and Diwali also fill up quickly, so book early for those weeks. Check Environment Canada's forecast the night before and call dispatch if the airline changes your flight.

What the Markham fare includes
The fixed fare includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, 407 tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity. HST is shown separately on the confirmation. Flight tracking is standard on every airport pickup, and point-to-point pickups include 15 minutes of waiting. Any extra stop, such as a colleague in Unionville, is entered when you book and priced in. The chauffeur handles the luggage at both ends. There is no surge pricing at busy times and no meter.
Cancellations and changes
The terms are the same for every booking. Cancel a Markham trip earlier than 72 hours before the scheduled pickup and the booking is released free of charge. At 72 hours or less the fee is 10 % of the fare; at 48 hours or less, 50 %; at 24 hours or less, or on a no-show, 100 %. Times are counted from the scheduled pickup. A late-running flight is not a no-show, because the chauffeur follows it. Change times or addresses through the confirmation link or through 24/7 dispatch.
Markham compared with taxis, rideshare and transit
From Markham, public transit to Pearson means GO or TTC into the city and then the UP Express back out west, which takes a long time with luggage. Metered taxis and rideshare usually cost less, but on a 45 km run a slow 401 adds up quickly on a meter, and a rideshare surge in the afternoon peak can close much of the gap to a fixed fare. Our Toronto airport car service keeps the price where it was when you booked, and the car is sized to the luggage you declared.
