Oshawa Executive Airport car service links YOO with Toronto Pearson (about 75–85 km, 50–75 minutes via the 401 or the 407) and downtown Toronto. The planning figure to or from Pearson is $220–265 all-in for a business sedan, plus HST, the same band as Whitby/Oshawa. YOO has no scheduled airline flights, so most bookings are private, charter or flight-training trips.
Oshawa Executive Airport car service: what to expect
Oshawa Executive Airport (YOO) is a general-aviation and business-aviation field run by the City of Oshawa, on Airport Boulevard in the city's north end. There are no scheduled airline flights, so a car to or from YOO is almost always connected to a private aircraft, a charter, a flight lesson or an aviation job. TorontoAirportTransfer.services sends its own chauffeurs to YOO on a fixed all-in fare: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity included, HST shown separately. The chauffeur works to the aircraft's ETA and the operator's instructions rather than an airline timetable.
Planning fares for YOO transfers
Planning figures only; the fare calculator and the booking engine price the exact address, date and vehicle.
| Trip (one way, all-in, + HST) | Business sedan | Executive SUV / luxury van | Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|
| YOO to or from Pearson | $220–265 | about $280–340 | about $480–580 |
| YOO to downtown Toronto or Billy Bishop | engine quote | engine quote | engine quote |
| YOO to Whitby, Ajax or Pickering | engine quote | engine quote | engine quote |
| Hourly, 3 h minimum | $130–150/h | $160–190/h | $225–270/h |
The SUV and Sprinter columns apply the sitewide multipliers (about +25–30 % and ×2.2). A first-class sedan is about 50 % above the sedan band. The rates page lists every published band.
Who uses YOO and why a car is booked
Business aircraft use Oshawa as a quieter east-of-Toronto alternative to Pearson for trips into Durham Region and the eastern GTA. The field also hosts flight training, aircraft maintenance, charter operators and hangar tenants. Our regular YOO passengers include executives arriving for meetings in Oshawa, Whitby or Markham; charter passengers connecting to an airline flight at Pearson; crews repositioning after a drop; and visiting student pilots or examiners travelling to and from the city. Each trip is timed to the aircraft, and the operator or passenger can update the ETA with dispatch at any point.
Private and charter arrivals at YOO
Tell us the tail number, the handling operator or FBO, the ETA and the passenger count when you book. Where the operator permits vehicles airside, the chauffeur can meet the aircraft planeside; otherwise the car waits at the operator's landside door or the agreed parking area, ready when the passengers clear the ramp. Bags go straight from the aircraft hold to the trunk. The Oshawa Executive FBO transfer page covers the airside procedures in more detail, and the private jet and FBO transfers service explains how we coordinate with crews.

Customs for international private flights
According to the City of Oshawa, Canada Border Services Agency customs service is available at the airport seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. to midnight, by appointment only. That makes Oshawa usable for a private flight arriving from the United States, provided the operator has arranged the clearance. Our chauffeur waits until the passengers are released by the Canada Border Services Agency and the handler confirms, so the included wait is measured from release rather than touchdown in practice. Arriving foreign nationals should check entry requirements, including the eTA, before the flight.
Operating hours and late arrivals
The city's pilot information notes that, apart from police, medical and industrial emergency flights, aircraft may not land or take off at YOO between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. For ground planning that means a late private arrival is either before 10:30 p.m. or diverted, often to Pearson. If your aircraft diverts, call dispatch: the booking moves to the new airport and the fixed fare is re-quoted for the new pickup. Details are on the Oshawa Executive Airport website; check it and your operator for current rules.
Route and timing: YOO to Pearson and downtown
From Airport Boulevard the chauffeur reaches the 401 via Stevenson Road or Thornton Road, or heads north to the 407 for a toll route across the top of the city. To Pearson it is about 75–85 km: 50–75 minutes on a quiet run, much longer when the 401 through Scarborough and the Highway 427 interchange jam. The 407 often saves 20–30 minutes at peak times, and its tolls are already in the fixed fare. Downtown Toronto is about 60 km via the 401 and the Don Valley Parkway, or the 401 to the Gardiner, with timings posted by Ontario 511.
Connecting YOO with Pearson or Billy Bishop flights
A common booking pairs a private or charter hop into Oshawa with an airline departure from Pearson. For an international flight, allow three hours at the terminal and check your terminal with the Pearson terminal finder; Air Canada and most Star Alliance carriers use Terminal 1, WestJet and Porter Terminal 3, but always confirm with your booking. For Porter flights from the island airport, the Billy Bishop airport transfer drops at the mainland terminal on Eireann Quay; the drive from Oshawa runs along the 401 and the DVP or the Gardiner.
Flight students, instructors and crews
Flight training has long been part of life at Oshawa, and students often arrive from overseas with a lot of luggage, then need regular trips between residence, the airport and Pearson. A pre-booked sedan with a fixed fare avoids the guesswork. Crews dropping an aircraft for maintenance can be driven to Pearson for an airline flight home, or to a hotel in Whitby. Schools and operators can open an account through corporate car service so trainees and crews are booked centrally with receipts that separate the fare and HST.
Choosing a vehicle at YOO
- Business sedan: three passengers, three bags; solo executives and students.
- First-class sedan: S-Class or 7 Series for principals stepping off a private jet.
- Executive SUV: six passengers and six bags, ideal with golf bags or hard cases.
- Luxury van: families and crews with flight bags.
- Sprinter: up to 14 people for a full charter or a delegation.
For a principal who wants a Rolls-Royce or Maybach planeside, that vehicle comes through our vetted partner network, and we will say so plainly at booking.
Durham Region pickups and drop-offs
Many YOO trips start or end nearby: a home in Whitby, a plant visit in Oshawa, a hotel in Ajax, a meeting at the Durham Region headquarters, or a GO train at Oshawa station. The Whitby and Oshawa to Pearson car service page covers the residential side of the region, and the Pickering and Ajax page covers the lakeshore towns closer to Toronto. The Durham Region website lists municipal information. A chauffeur can hold for a meeting on the hourly rate and bring you back to the aircraft.

Transit and taxi alternatives
YOO has no rail link. GO Transit trains and buses run from Oshawa station to Union Station, and Durham Region Transit covers local routes; the GO Transit website has schedules. That combination works for a light traveller heading downtown with time to spare. With luggage, a flight to connect or a principal on a private aircraft, a pre-booked car is the practical choice, and the fixed fare is known before the aircraft even departs.
Winter and weather at an east-GTA airfield
Snow off Lake Ontario and freezing rain can hit Durham before Toronto, and weather can delay or divert private flights. Every car runs winter tires from late fall. Dispatch checks the Environment Canada forecast and the operator's plan; if a flight slips or diverts, the booking follows it. Because the fare is fixed, extra highway time in a storm is not charged. Waiting after a very long delay is billed in 15-minute blocks, and we tell you before that starts.
Cancellation and changes
Measured from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours ahead, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %. Private flights change often, so tell dispatch the moment a slot moves; a changed ETA is a change, not a cancellation. Diversions to another airport are re-quoted for the new pickup point.
How to book an Oshawa Executive Airport transfer
- Enter Oshawa Executive Airport, 1200 Airport Boulevard, as pickup or drop-off.
- Add tail number, operator, ETA, passenger count and bags in the notes.
- Pick a vehicle class; the all-in fare appears with HST listed on its own line.
- Confirm; chauffeur details arrive before the aircraft lands.
For other private airfields, see Pearson FBO transfers.
A typical private arrival at YOO, step by step
- The operator or assistant books with tail number, ETA and passenger names.
- Dispatch confirms the vehicle and sends the chauffeur's details to the passenger and the crew.
- On the day, the chauffeur arrives before the ETA and checks in with the handler.
- When the aircraft is on the ground and passengers are cleared, bags go from the hold to the trunk.
- The chauffeur drives to Pearson, downtown or a Durham address on the route that is fastest right then.
Departures work the same way in reverse: the chauffeur collects passengers and delivers them to the operator's door or planeside, where permitted, before the planned wheels-up time.
Why fly into Oshawa rather than Pearson
For a private or charter flight, Oshawa can mean less taxi time, a shorter walk to the car and a quieter handling experience than a large international airport, and it puts passengers close to Durham Region destinations. The trade-offs are the night restrictions, the customs-by-appointment model and runway length that suits smaller business aircraft. Your operator will advise on the aircraft side; on the ground, a car from YOO to downtown Toronto is often comparable in time to one from Pearson outside rush hour, and faster to eastern suburbs such as Whitby, Ajax and Markham.
Durham residents flying from Pearson
The largest group of travellers we drive around Oshawa never use YOO at all: they live in Durham Region and fly commercially from Pearson or Billy Bishop. The same fare band applies, and the Pearson airport limo page explains the Pearson end in detail. Families flying from Oshawa homes to a sun destination often choose an SUV for the bags.
Returning to the aircraft after meetings
Many YOO passengers fly in for a single day. Rather than two one-way transfers, the chauffeur can stay with you on the hourly rate (three-hour minimum) from the ramp to a meeting in Whitby, lunch in Oshawa and back to the aircraft for departure. Tell dispatch the planned wheels-up time; if the meeting runs long, the chauffeur keeps the crew informed through the handler so the aircraft is ready when you are.
