Kitchener station, at 126 Weber Street West on the corner of Victoria Street, is the shared GO Transit and VIA Rail stop for Kitchener-Waterloo. TorontoAirportTransfer.services meets trains at the passenger pickup and drop-off in front of the station, timed to the actual arrival. A business sedan from Kitchener-Waterloo to Toronto Pearson is a planning figure of $265–325 all-in before HST, fixed before you book.
Kitchener station: GO, VIA and the ION nearby
Kitchener station is a small, busy building at Weber and Victoria on the northern edge of downtown Kitchener. VIA Rail trains on the route between Toronto and London stop here, and it is the western terminus of GO Transit's Kitchener line into Union Station. GO lists the passenger pickup and drop-off in front of the station, and that is where our chauffeurs meet trains. The ION light rail's Central Station stop at King and Victoria is a few minutes' walk south, and the Region of Waterloo is building a new Kitchener Central Transit Hub at that corner, with substantial completion currently expected around 2030. During construction, pickup arrangements around the site may change, so dispatch confirms the meeting point in your booking message.
Kitchener-Waterloo to Pearson: fares by vehicle
The main reason people book us from Kitchener station is the airport run, or the return from Pearson to a Waterloo Region address. Planning figures, one way, all-in before HST:
| Kitchener-Waterloo to / from | Business sedan (3 pax) | First-class sedan (3 pax) | Executive SUV or luxury van (6 pax) | Sprinter (14 pax) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | $265–325 | $400–480 | $330–420 | $580–715 |
| Guelph (for comparison, to Pearson) | $225–270 | $340–405 | $285–355 | $495–595 |
| Hourly, 3 h minimum | $130–150/h | Quoted by the engine | $160–190/h | $225–270/h |
The reservation engine quotes your exact address, date and vehicle before you confirm. Every fare includes chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity; HST is shown on its own line. More on the town side is on our Kitchener-Waterloo to Pearson car service page.
Kitchener to Toronto Pearson: the drive
Kitchener to Pearson is roughly 100 kilometres. The chauffeur usually takes the Conestoga Parkway to Highway 401 eastbound, then follows the 401 towards the airport, joining the 407 where it saves real time. On a clear midday run the trip is around an hour and ten to an hour and a half; at rush hour, or when the 401 through Milton and Mississauga is slow, it can be longer. For flights we build in margin: from Kitchener, a pickup about four and a half hours before an international departure, and about three and a half before a domestic flight, is usually comfortable. Dispatch watches live conditions and messages you if a winter storm or a closure on the 401 means leaving earlier.

Train to Toronto or car to the airport?
GO and VIA both connect Kitchener with Toronto, but neither goes directly to Pearson. By rail, an airport trip means riding towards Union and changing at the right station for UP Express or a bus, with luggage, and on a schedule that does not always suit early flights. A car goes from your door or from Kitchener station straight to your terminal. For a solo traveller with a backpack and plenty of time, rail is the budget option. For families, groups, anyone with heavy bags or an early departure, a fixed-fare car is simpler and, split between three people, not far off rail in cost. Check GO Transit for current Kitchener line schedules, which vary between weekdays and weekends.
University travellers
Kitchener-Waterloo is home to the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College, which means a steady stream of students, visiting faculty and parents travelling through the station and the airport. The busiest windows are the start of term in early September and January, the end of the April exam period and the December break. International students landing at Pearson with two large suitcases and a long-haul flight behind them are often better off with a car straight to residence than a multi-leg train trip. Parents helping with a move-in book an executive SUV or luxury van for the extra luggage. Tell us the residence name and building in the notes so the chauffeur knows which entrance to use.
Tech and business travellers
Waterloo Region's technology sector brings a lot of business travel: engineers heading to meetings in the US, visitors flying into Pearson for on-site work, founders shuttling between Toronto investors and Kitchener offices. Many of these trips start or end at Kitchener station, because the GO or VIA ride into Toronto is useful working time. A common booking is a GO train to Union for a morning meeting, then a car from downtown to Pearson for an afternoon flight, with the reverse a few days later. Another is a car straight from a Kitchener or Waterloo office to Pearson, skipping the train altogether. Corporate accounts get consolidated invoices and one booking contact; see corporate car service.
Waterloo airport and other options
Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) is in Breslau, just east of Kitchener, and some travellers fly from there when the schedule suits. We serve YKF as well as Pearson, so you can choose the airport by flight rather than by ground transport. See the Waterloo airport page for details and check current routes on the airport's own site. For trips east, Guelph's station is on the same line; our Guelph Central station page covers pickups there. Travellers heading much further, such as to Buffalo for a US flight, can book a cross-border run; see Toronto to Buffalo airport.
VIA arrivals at Kitchener
VIA lists Kitchener as a staffed station with limited daily hours, and notes that checked baggage service is not available here, so everything you carry on the train comes off with you. Its station page also lists wheelchair access to the entrance, platform and trains, with a wheelchair lift available on 48 hours' notice through VIA. VIA trains on this route can run late, particularly in winter, and our dispatch tracks the train's actual arrival rather than the timetable. The fare includes 15 minutes of waiting from arrival; add more at booking if you need it. If a train is cancelled or replaced, message dispatch and we will retime or reroute the pickup.
GO train arrivals at Kitchener
GO's Kitchener line runs from Union Station through Bramalea, Georgetown and Guelph to Kitchener. Service patterns differ between weekdays and weekends, and some trips involve a bus connection, so check the current schedule on the GO site. For commuters, a common pattern is a pre-booked car from home to catch the early train, and another at night when the last GRT connection has gone. Grand River Transit serves the station for local connections, and if you are going only a short distance in the daytime it is the obvious option. A car makes more sense late at night, with luggage, with children, or when the destination is outside the transit network, such as a rural address in Woolwich or Wilmot.
Pickups at Weber and Victoria
The station forecourt is small and the passenger pickup area in front of the station is shared with taxis and other drivers. VIA notes that taxis serve the station entrance. Because space is tight, our chauffeur waits nearby and moves into the pickup area as your train arrives, then sends you a message with the car and plate. GO notes that free customer parking is not available at this station, which is another reason many travellers prefer to be dropped and collected. If construction for the transit hub affects access, dispatch confirms the exact meeting point by message before your train arrives.
Families and child car seats
Families travelling by VIA to visit relatives in Kitchener often need a car at the station for the last leg. Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one. Our chauffeured cars carry infant, convertible and booster seats on request; add them when you book and the chauffeur installs them before you reach the car. The child car seat transfers page explains the options, and the province's car seat guidance covers which seat suits which age. For a family with luggage and strollers, an executive SUV or luxury van is the practical choice.
Winter on the 401
The 401 between Kitchener and Toronto can be difficult in winter. Lake-effect snow, whiteouts on open stretches and collisions near Milton or Mississauga can close lanes with little warning. Our fleet runs on winter tires from late autumn to spring, and dispatch watches Ontario 511 for closures and conditions. For early-morning flights in winter we suggest an extra 30 to 45 minutes of margin, and we message you if conditions call for a revised pickup time. If the weather turns while you are in the air, the chauffeur still meets you at Pearson and drives at a speed that suits the road, not the clock.
Groups and events in Waterloo Region
Conferences, weddings and university events bring groups through Kitchener station. A Sprinter carries fourteen passengers with luggage and is often the simplest way to move a team or a wedding party from the station to a hotel or venue. For shuttle loops between the station, hotels and a venue, we price an hourly charter. Larger vehicles, including stretch limousines, party buses and coaches, are fulfilled through vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network and priced in writing by a coordinator. See Sprinter group transportation for the group options. The City of Kitchener publishes local event listings if you are planning around a busy weekend.

Long-distance trips beyond Kitchener
From Kitchener station we also drive to London, Stratford, Guelph, Cambridge, Brantford and anywhere else in Ontario, with our own chauffeurs, plus cross-border runs to Buffalo and Detroit. Travellers sometimes step off a VIA train at Kitchener and continue by car to a destination the train does not reach. Every long-distance trip is quoted by the reservation engine with the fare fixed before you confirm. See long-distance car service for how those trips work, including rest stops and waiting time.
