For a Honda Indy Toronto car service, book a drop-off outside the circuit fence and a pre-agreed pick-up away from the grandstand exits. The race traditionally runs on the Exhibition Place street circuit in July, but in 2026 it moved to a Markham street circuit in August; the 2027 venue and dates were not yet published. Pearson to Exhibition Place is a $130–160 sedan planning fare.
Honda Indy Toronto car service: where the race is now
The Honda Indy Toronto, an IndyCar Series round, has for decades been run on a temporary street circuit at Exhibition Place, using Lake Shore Boulevard and the roads through the grounds, usually in July. In 2026 the race moved: because Exhibition Place was being used for the FIFA World Cup, the event ran as the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham on August 14 to 16, 2026, on a new street circuit in downtown Markham.
When this page was written, the organisers had not published a 2027 date or venue. Before you book flights or cars, check the official race site. We cover both locations below, and the fixed fare in our reservation engine adjusts automatically to whichever address you enter.
The Exhibition Place circuit: roads and closures
At Exhibition Place the circuit uses Lake Shore Boulevard West along the waterfront and Princes' Boulevard and other roads through the grounds. On race weekends in past years, Lake Shore Boulevard near the grounds has been closed to general traffic from the build-up days through to the Sunday night, and Strachan Avenue and the Gardiner ramps nearby carry heavy traffic.
Chauffeurs plan drop-offs north of the circuit: King Street West near Dufferin or Strachan, or the Liberty Village side, from where spectators walk to their gate. Exhibition GO station, served by GO Lakeshore West, is inside the grounds and is the transit option most fans use. The exact road plan changes each year, so dispatch checks the official traffic notice before race weekend and texts your drop-off point.

The Markham circuit: getting there from Toronto
The 2026 Markham circuit was built in the eastern part of downtown Markham, in an area bounded by Kennedy Road, Enterprise Boulevard, the Unionville GO rail line and Highway 407. From downtown Toronto the drive is north on the Don Valley Parkway and Highway 404, then east on Highway 407 or Highway 7; from Pearson the chauffeur takes the 401 or the 407 east.
Planning fare from Pearson to Markham is $145–180 in a business sedan, all-in including 407 tolls if the route uses it, plus HST. Unionville GO station, on the Stouffville line, is right beside the circuit area. Drop-offs are made on open roads outside the fenced area, and road closures around Kennedy and Enterprise are set by the City of Markham and race organisers each year. See our Markham car service page for more local detail.
Hourly chauffeur vs point-to-point on race day
Race days are long. Practice and support races start in the morning and the IndyCar race is usually in the afternoon, followed by a slow exit. For a simple day, book a morning drop-off and a pick-up at a fixed time after the chequered flag, with 15 minutes of included waiting.
For hospitality guests who move between the paddock, a corporate suite and a dinner afterwards, an hourly chauffeur is the better tool. The car stays within a text of you all day. Planning figures: sedan $130–150 per hour, executive SUV $160–190, Sprinter $225–270, each with a 3-hour minimum and all-in plus HST.
Corporate hospitality and client days
Race weekend is a popular client-entertainment event for Toronto businesses. If you are hosting clients in a hospitality suite, a fleet of cars collecting guests from offices or hotels and returning them after the race makes the day seamless. See client entertainment transport and corporate car service for account billing and named-passenger manifests.
For a group of up to 14 moving together, our own Sprinter is the simplest option. For larger groups, coaches come through vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, priced in writing by a coordinator.
Flying in for race weekend
Fans and team guests fly into Toronto Pearson from across North America. Every airport pick-up is flight-tracked, with 60 minutes of included waiting on international arrivals and 30 minutes on Canadian and US. The fare covers curbside pick-up at the terminal's pre-arranged commercial pickup area; meet and greet inside arrivals is an optional add-on at a planning figure of $25–35.
US visitors can drive up via the Peace Bridge or Lewiston-Queenston crossings, or we can collect from Buffalo airport at a planning fare of $390–480 to Toronto. International visitors should check whether they need an eTA before flying.

Hotels for race weekend
At Exhibition Place, Hotel X on the grounds is the closest, with Liberty Village and King West hotels a short walk or ride away. Downtown hotels near Union Station put you one GO stop from Exhibition station.
For a Markham race, hotels along Highway 7 and around Markham's downtown area are closest to the circuit, and hotels near Pearson or downtown Toronto are 30 to 50 minutes away depending on traffic. If you are staying downtown and going to Markham on consecutive days, an hourly booking or a daily round trip is usually easier than renting a car.
The exit: why a pick-up point matters
The slowest moment of race weekend is the 45 minutes after the final race, when tens of thousands of spectators leave at once. Rideshare vehicles cannot get close, transit is packed, and parking lots empty slowly.
Agree a pick-up point away from the main exit before the race, ideally a few minutes' walk on a road outside the traffic-control zone. At Exhibition Place that is typically north of the rail corridor; in Markham, a road on the far side of Highway 7 or Kennedy from the circuit. The chauffeur texts when parked with the car's plate and colour.

Families and accessibility
Race weekends include support races, fan zones and activities that make them a family day out. Infant, convertible and booster seats are on request at booking; we fit one for every child who needs it. Ear protection for children is wise near a race track, so bring some.
For guests using a wheelchair, book a wheelchair-accessible transfer and tell us your grandstand or hospitality location. We plan the drop-off at the accessible entrance with the shortest route and share the exact spot before the ride.
Paddock, pit lane and team guests
Team partners, sponsors and guests with paddock credentials often need to arrive earlier than general spectators and leave later, after debriefs and hospitality wind down. Credentialed access routes and parking for teams are controlled by the organisers, and a private car cannot enter the paddock unless it has been issued a pass for that specific vehicle.
In practice we drop team guests at the entrance named on their credential and collect from the same point at an agreed time. If the team's schedule changes, a text to the chauffeur on an hourly booking is enough. For guests shuttling between a downtown hotel and the circuit on Friday practice, Saturday qualifying and Sunday race day, a three-day hourly or round-trip programme is priced as one itinerary, with the same chauffeur each day where possible.
Friday and Saturday: practice and qualifying days
Many fans skip Sunday crowds and go on Friday or Saturday, when practice sessions, qualifying and support races run with lighter attendance. Traffic control is lighter too, though the circuit roads remain closed to general traffic, and drop-off points are usually the same as on race day.
These days are ideal for a family visit or a first look at IndyCar. A point-to-point transfer in and a timed pick-up out is usually enough, and the included 15 minutes of waiting covers a normal exit. Check the official schedule for session times so the pick-up lands after the last session you want to see.
Cross-border fans from Buffalo and Detroit
Race weekend draws fans from western New York and Michigan. For those who prefer not to drive across the border and deal with downtown parking, we run cross-border car service from Buffalo and Niagara Falls NY, and from Detroit on request. The chauffeur handles the route, and passengers present their own documents at the crossing.
Allow extra time at the Peace Bridge or Lewiston-Queenston on a summer Friday, and make sure every passenger has a valid passport or NEXUS card.
Weather and summer driving
July and August race weekends can be hot and humid, with the occasional thunderstorm rolling in off Lake Ontario. Cars are air-conditioned and carry water. If a storm delays the race, an hourly booking simply extends; a point-to-point pick-up can be moved by texting dispatch, subject to availability.
Check the Environment Canada forecast on the morning of the race. Heavy rain slows the Gardiner, 401 and 404 noticeably, so allow extra time on the way in.
Booking lead time for race weekend
Race weekend competes with the busiest summer season in Toronto, so vehicles, especially SUVs and Sprinters, are in demand. Dispatch recommends:
- Corporate multi-car programmes and coaches: book six to eight weeks ahead.
- SUVs and Sprinters for race day: three to four weeks ahead.
- Sedans and airport transfers: one to two weeks ahead.
- Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10 % applies at 72 hours or less, 50 % at 48 hours or less, and 100 % at 24 hours or less or on a no-show.
Other big events at Exhibition Place
Exhibition Place also hosts the CNE at the end of summer and the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade, plus concerts and matches at BMO Field. When two events overlap, traffic and road closures compound; dispatch will warn you if your race day coincides with another large event.
How to book
Open the reservation engine, enter your pick-up and the circuit address for the race year, choose point-to-point or hourly, and see the all-in fare before confirming. Add your grandstand or hospitality location and preferred pick-up point in the notes. For multi-vehicle programmes, a coordinator will price the plan in writing.
TorontoAirportTransfer.services is not affiliated with the Honda Indy, IndyCar or the race organisers; we are a private car service that drives fans and guests to and from the event.
