Oakville station, on Cross Avenue just west of Trafalgar Road, is a shared GO Transit and VIA Rail stop on the Lakeshore West corridor. TorontoAirportTransfer.services meets trains at the station entrance, timed to the actual arrival. A business sedan from Oakville to Toronto Pearson is a planning figure of $120–150 all-in before HST, fixed before you book, with larger vehicles for families and groups.
Oakville station: GO and VIA under one roof
Oakville GO Station and VIA Rail's Oakville station share the same platforms between Cross Avenue and Cornwall Road, west of Trafalgar Road. VIA lists its station at 200 Cross Avenue; GO Transit uses 214 Cross Avenue for the same complex. For GO riders it is a major stop on the Lakeshore West line into Union Station. For VIA travellers it is the first or last stop west of Toronto for trains on the corridor towards London, Windsor, Sarnia and Niagara Falls, depending on the train, and Amtrak also calls here. Many people in Halton and Peel use Oakville deliberately to avoid getting in and out of downtown Toronto. When you book, enter "Oakville station, 200 Cross Avenue" and add your train number, and the chauffeur meets you at the station entrance.
Parking at Oakville station vs a chauffeur
VIA describes its own free dedicated parking in front of the station as extremely limited, with only about 18 spaces, and the large GO lots fill early on weekdays with commuters. For a VIA trip of several days, a car left at the station also raises the question of permits and security. A pre-booked chauffeur removes all of that. You are dropped at the entrance with your bags, and when you come back the car is timed to your arriving train. For a household with one car, it also means the family is not stranded while someone is away. The trade-off is simple: the fare is fixed and known in advance, and it covers the trip in both directions if you book a return.

Oakville station to Pearson airport
The most common booking we take at Oakville is a traveller stepping off a VIA or GO train and continuing to Toronto Pearson, or the reverse. The drive is usually 25 to 45 minutes. The chauffeur takes Trafalgar Road up to the QEW, then heads east towards Highway 427, or goes north to Highway 403 and 401 depending on traffic; the 407 is used where it saves real time, and any toll is already in the fare. Rush hour on the eastbound QEW in the morning and westbound in the late afternoon is the main variable, so dispatch sets the pickup time with that in mind. For fares and timing from the town itself, see Oakville to Pearson car service, and for the airport, check your terminal with the terminal finder.

VIA Rail arrivals and departures at Oakville
VIA Rail operates a staffed ticket counter at Oakville with set hours, and the station offers courtesy wheelchairs and lifts that must be booked 48 hours in advance through VIA. VIA trains on the Toronto corridor can run late, especially on the single-track sections further west or in winter. Our dispatch tracks the train, not the timetable, so the chauffeur's arrival moves with any delay. The fare includes 15 minutes of waiting from the train's actual arrival; add more at booking if you expect to need it. VIA periodically posts planned service disruptions for track work on its station page, and if your train is replaced by a bus or rescheduled, message dispatch and we will retime the pickup to match.
GO Transit riders at Oakville
Oakville is one of the busiest stops on GO Transit's Lakeshore West line, and many of our GO bookings are for people who ride into Union for work and need a car at either end. Some book a car from home to the station every morning so a household can keep one vehicle; others book a late pickup on nights when the last bus connection is long gone. Business travellers sometimes ride GO from Union to Oakville to avoid a downtown-to-Mississauga crawl, then take a car the last stretch to an office park near the QEW or the 403. All of these are standard point-to-point bookings with a fixed fare. For recurring commutes, a corporate account keeps the paperwork simple; see corporate car service.
Taxi stand, rideshare or a pre-booked car
VIA notes that taxis wait at stands near the station entrance, and Uber and Lyft operate here too. For a short hop across town those options are fine. A pre-booked car is the better fit when timing matters (an airport connection), when the group is larger than a taxi takes, when children need seats, or when you are arriving late at night and do not want to gamble on availability. The price comparison is straightforward: our fare is fixed at booking and includes gratuity, while a taxi runs on a meter and rideshare prices move with demand. For the full breakdown, read our limo vs Uber vs taxi vs UP Express guide. Whichever you choose, arrange it before the train arrives so you are not standing at the curb waiting.
Transfers to Burlington, Milton and Mississauga
Oakville station is a natural transfer point for the whole of Halton. From here we drive travellers to Burlington, Milton, Mississauga and Hamilton, as well as to homes and offices across Oakville itself. Burlington is a short drive along the QEW or Lakeshore Road; Milton is north via Trafalgar Road or the 407; Mississauga is east along the QEW. The engine quotes each address precisely. Burlington residents often choose Oakville when their own station's trains do not match their schedule, and we can handle that just as easily. For those towns, see our Burlington car service page. Travellers bound for Hamilton or its airport can read the Hamilton airport page for flight-side details.
Timing around QEW traffic
The QEW through Oakville is one of the most variable stretches of highway in the GTA. On a clear weekday midday, Oakville station to Pearson can be done in 25 minutes; at 8 am eastbound or 5 pm westbound it can take twice that. Friday afternoons in summer are slow in both directions as traffic heads to Niagara and cottage country. Winter storms slow everything. Our dispatchers watch live conditions through Ontario 511 and adjust pickups for departures. For a flight, we plan to have you at the terminal kerb at least two hours before a domestic departure and three before an international one, and we build the drive time around that target rather than the best-case number.
Families and child seats
Families often use Oakville station for VIA trips to visit grandparents in London or Windsor, then need a car home. Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one. Our cars carry infant, convertible and booster seats on request: add them when you book and the chauffeur installs them before you reach the car. More detail is on the child car seat transfers page. For families with a lot of luggage, strollers and car seats, an executive SUV or luxury van seats six with room for bags and costs about 25–30 % more than a sedan.
Accessibility at Oakville station
VIA lists wheelchair-accessible entrances, platforms and trains at Oakville, along with a hearing loop at the ticket counter and a service animal relief area in front of the station. Lifts for boarding must be booked with VIA 48 hours ahead. On our side, tell us in the booking if the traveller uses a wheelchair or walker, and whether it folds, so the right vehicle is sent. Ramp-equipped vehicles are available on request; see wheelchair accessible transfers. The chauffeur meets the traveller at the station entrance and handles the bags, and meet and greet (planning figure $25–35) adds help from the platform to the car.
Meet and greet at the platform
The standard fare covers pickup at the station entrance. With meet and greet added, the chauffeur parks, comes into the station with a name board and meets you as you come off the platform, then carries the bags out. At Oakville that is especially useful for travellers with heavy luggage, for anyone unfamiliar with the station layout, and for older relatives travelling alone on VIA. Dispatch confirms the meeting point by message before arrival. The same service at airports is described on our meet and greet page.
Groups, events and weddings
Oakville hosts plenty of weddings, galas and corporate events, and guests often arrive by train from Toronto or further afield. For a group arriving together, a Sprinter carries fourteen people and their bags; for smaller groups, an executive SUV or luxury van seats six. We can run shuttle loops between Oakville station and a venue or hotel for a set window, priced as an hourly charter. Larger fleets, including stretch limousines, party buses and coaches, are fulfilled through vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, priced in writing by a coordinator. See Sprinter group transportation for group options. The Town of Oakville publishes local event listings if you are planning around a busy weekend.

Late trains and early starts
GO service from Union to Oakville runs into the late evening, and VIA arrivals from the west can come in after the local transit network has thinned out. A pre-booked car means you are not waiting at a quiet station after 11 pm. Our fare does not change with the hour, and dispatch is available 24 hours. At the other end of the day, early departures from Pearson often suit an Oakville pickup at 4 or 4:30 am; we plan the timing so you reach the terminal with enough margin, and the chauffeur is outside before the scheduled time.
