A Niagara Falls airport transfer takes you from Toronto or the Niagara region across the border to Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG) in New York, which currently has flights on Allegiant to Florida and Myrtle Beach. The fixed fare is quoted by the reservation engine before you confirm. From Toronto allow about two hours plus border time; from Niagara Falls, Ontario, well under an hour.
Niagara Falls airport transfer: who flies from IAG
Niagara Falls International Airport is a small airport run by the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the town of Niagara, New York, a few kilometres east of the American falls. It should not be confused with the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, which has no passenger airport of its own. IAG's commercial service is limited: according to the airport's where we fly page, Allegiant Air is currently the only airline, with flights to Orlando/Sanford, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Punta Gorda for Fort Myers, and Myrtle Beach.
That makes IAG a leisure airport. Most of our IAG passengers are families and snowbirds from Hamilton, the Niagara Peninsula and the west GTA who found a low fare to Florida. Routes and schedules on low-cost carriers change seasonally, so confirm your flight on the airline's own site before you book the car.
What the fixed fare includes
TorontoAirportTransfer.services quotes one all-in price for the IAG run: the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, bridge tolls, 407 tolls when dispatch uses the 407, and gratuity, with HST shown separately. The reservation engine gives the exact figure for your address, date and vehicle before you pay; there is no meter and no surge at busy times.
For budgeting, the published planning band for Pearson to Niagara Falls, Ontario is $345–420 in a business sedan and Pearson to Buffalo airport is $390–480; IAG sits geographically between the two, just across the river, so expect a fare in that neighbourhood from the GTA. From St. Catharines, Niagara-on-the-Lake or Niagara Falls, Ontario, the fare is far lower because the drive is short. Always rely on the engine's figure.
The crossing: Lewiston-Queenston first
IAG sits almost directly across the river from the Queenston Heights end of the Niagara Escarpment, so the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge is the natural crossing. The bridge accepts autos, limousines and buses, and from the US plaza it is a short run south on the Niagara Scenic Parkway or the I-190 to the airport. On most days this is also the quietest of the Niagara crossings for passenger cars.
The Rainbow Bridge, from the tourist district in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is an alternative when Lewiston is backed up; it takes cars and limousines but no commercial trucks. The Peace Bridge in Fort Erie adds distance for IAG and is used only when both northern bridges are jammed. Dispatch checks CBP border wait times before departure and commits to a bridge.

Documents for the border and the flight
Every passenger needs a document the US officer will accept. Canadian citizens may cross by land with a passport, a NEXUS card or an enhanced driver's licence, but for a flight to Florida bring the passport. Permanent residents and visitors carry their passport and any US visa or authorization required for their nationality; US Customs and Border Protection lists the requirements. Children need their own documents, and a lone parent should carry a consent letter from the other parent.
Snowbirds going south for a month or longer should remember that since 2025 Canadians staying 30 days or more in the US must be registered, usually through an I-94 record. Ask the officer at the booth if you need one and allow extra time; dispatch builds that into the pickup.
How early to leave for an IAG departure
IAG is small, which helps: check-in and security lines are short compared with a hub. Allegiant sets its own counter cut-off times and recommends arriving well before departure, so check your confirmation. Flights often leave at unusual hours, including early mornings and late evenings, a pattern common to low-cost carriers.
| Where you start | Typical drive to IAG (clear roads) | Suggested lead before departure |
|---|---|---|
| Niagara Falls, Ontario | 20–30 min plus border | 2.5 hours |
| St. Catharines / Niagara-on-the-Lake | 25–40 min plus border | 2.5–3 hours |
| Hamilton / Burlington | 60–75 min plus border | 3.5 hours |
| Mississauga / Pearson area | 1 h 30 min – 1 h 50 min plus border | 4–4.5 hours |
| Downtown Toronto | 1 h 40 min – 2 h plus border | 4.5 hours |
These are starting points. On long weekends and summer Fridays, Lewiston queues can stretch, and dispatch will ask to pick you up earlier.
Pickup across the Niagara region
We collect from homes, hotels and wineries anywhere on the peninsula: Fallsview hotels, Lundy's Lane motels, Niagara-on-the-Lake inns, St. Catharines, Welland, Grimsby and Fort Erie. A Niagara hotel pickup is common when visitors combine a few days at the falls with a cheap flight home from IAG, and the chauffeur loads bags at the hotel entrance rather than a remote lot.
If you are visiting from overseas and landed at Pearson, one route is Pearson to your Niagara hotel, a few days of sightseeing, then IAG for a Florida leg. Our Pearson to Niagara Falls transfer covers the first part, and Niagara Falls limousine service covers local runs while you are there.
At the IAG terminal
The chauffeur pulls up at the terminal curb, unloads the bags and waits until you have everything. The terminal is compact, so the walk from the curb to Allegiant's counter is short. Allegiant charges for carry-on and checked bags on many fares, so weigh cases at home; the chauffeur cannot help with a repack at the curb once the car has to move.
If you are booking a return, the chauffeur confirms the inbound flight number before leaving. Dispatch tracks it from the day of travel.
Return pickups and the drive home
Allegiant arrivals into IAG are Canadian and US US flights, so 30 minutes of waiting from the actual landing is included, then 15-minute blocks. The chauffeur waits at the airport's designated pickup area and texts the door as you land; add meet and greet if you want the chauffeur inside with a name board.
The drive north crosses at Lewiston-Queenston into Canada, where the CBSA officer will ask about purchases and length of stay. Keep receipts together and declare everything; exemption limits by length of absence are on the CBSA website. From Queenston most GTA passengers are home in about 90 minutes to two hours.
Choosing a vehicle for a Florida trip
Leisure trips mean luggage: two checked cases per person, beach bags, sometimes golf clubs. A business sedan holds three passengers and three standard cases. A family of four with a week's luggage belongs in the executive SUV or a luxury van, each with six seats and room for six bags.
Groups of friends heading to Myrtle Beach for a golf week can book a Sprinter van for up to fourteen travellers and their bags. As a rule of thumb, an SUV runs about 25 to 30 per cent above the sedan fare and a Sprinter about 2.2 times, divided among everyone aboard.

Luggage, pets and what to leave at home
Low-cost carriers price bags separately, so passengers often arrive at the car with more soft bags than suitcases. Tell us the real count at booking: the chauffeur can fit soft bags around hard cases, but an overloaded sedan means a second car at the curb. Folding strollers and a car seat that will fly with you go in the trunk as well. Small pets in carriers can ride with notice; tell dispatch so the chauffeur brings a seat cover, and check both the airline's pet rules and US entry rules for animals well before the day.
Leave firearms, cannabis and cannabis products at home. Cannabis is legal in Canada but remains illegal to carry across the international border in either direction, and officers at Lewiston-Queenston treat it seriously. The same goes for fresh fruit, vegetables and meat, which are the most common items confiscated at the US agricultural check.
Children and car seats across the border
Infant seats, convertible seats and boosters are available on request; add them when you book so they are installed before the chauffeur arrives. Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one; the province's car seat guide explains the stages. The seat stays in the car for the crossing, so the child does not need to be moved at the border.
Pack a small bag with non-fresh snacks, since fresh fruit and meat are commonly refused at US agricultural checks. More detail is on our child car seat transfers page.
NEXUS on the IAG run
The Lewiston-Queenston Bridge has a dedicated NEXUS lane at set hours, and the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge nearby is reserved for NEXUS members heading into the US. Both can be used only when every person in the vehicle holds NEXUS, chauffeur included. If your party are all members, tell us at booking; dispatch will try to assign a NEXUS chauffeur and will still plan a regular-lane backup.
Weather in the Niagara corridor
Winter squalls off Lake Erie and Lake Ontario can reduce visibility on the QEW and the Skyway with little warning, and the Niagara Escarpment section of Highway 405 can be icy on cold mornings. Our cars run winter tires from late autumn, and dispatch watches Environment Canada and US forecasts the day before. If snow is forecast, expect a call suggesting an earlier pickup.
Cancellations follow the sitewide rule measured from the booked pickup: more than 72 hours out is free; 72 hours or less costs 10 per cent; 48 hours or less, 50 per cent; 24 hours or less or a no-show, the full fare.
IAG compared with Buffalo and Pearson
IAG's advantage is simplicity: a small terminal, short lines and the shortest border approach from the Niagara region. Its limitation is choice: one airline and a handful of leisure routes. If your destination is not on Allegiant's schedule, Buffalo airport limo service reaches a far larger network about 30 minutes further, and Pearson has the widest choice of all without a land border.
For Hamilton-area travellers, Hamilton airport transfers are another low-fare option that stays in Canada. Dispatch is happy to talk through the trade-offs for your dates.
How to book
Use the reservation engine on this page or go to book your transfer. Choose your pickup, set Niagara Falls International Airport in New York as the destination, add the flight number, pick the vehicle and add car seats or meet and greet.
