St. Catharines to Pearson airport by private car with TorontoAirportTransfer.services has a planning figure of $300–370 one way in a business sedan, all-in plus HST; Niagara-on-the-Lake addresses sit in the same band or slightly above. The 105 km drive on the QEW takes about 70–90 minutes. The reservation engine prices your exact address, date and vehicle before you book.
St. Catharines to Pearson airport: the short version
St. Catharines is the largest city in the Niagara Region and the closest part of it to Toronto, which makes it the easiest Niagara pickup we run. Most trips leave from a house in the north end or Glenridge, a Brock University residence, or a hotel off the QEW at Ontario Street. The chauffeur is on the highway within minutes, and on a quiet morning the Pearson terminal ramps are about 70 minutes away.
Every fare in the reservation engine includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls where used, airport fees and gratuity. HST is shown separately. Nothing changes when the QEW backs up through Oakville.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake column is our planning estimate for the Old Town and wine route, which add 15 to 20 minutes over central St. Catharines; Virgil, Queenston and the Niagara Stone Road corridor fall in between. As always the engine gives the exact figure. See every destination on the rates page.
The drive: QEW north, then the choice at Burlington
From St. Catharines the chauffeur takes the QEW toward Toronto, crosses the Welland Canal on the Garden City Skyway, runs past Vineland, Grimsby and Stoney Creek, and crosses the Burlington Bay Skyway. At the Highway 403 split dispatch decides between staying on the QEW through Oakville and Mississauga to Highway 427, or taking the 403 and 407 to the airport. From Niagara-on-the-Lake the car first follows Niagara Stone Road (Regional Road 55) or York Road to the QEW.

Rush hour on the QEW eastbound toward Toronto begins earlier than most visitors expect, around 6:30 a.m. near Burlington, and in the evening the westbound lanes back up from the 427 through Oakville. A mid-morning or late-evening flight is the easy one; a 9 a.m. departure needs a generous buffer.
When to leave St. Catharines or NOTL for your flight
Build your pickup from the departure time: arrive at Pearson about two hours before a domestic flight or three hours before international, unless the airline advises otherwise, then add the drive plus a buffer. A few common patterns:
- Weekday 11:00 domestic flight from St. Catharines: pickup around 7:45.
- Evening 19:30 transatlantic flight from NOTL: pickup around 14:45, which keeps you ahead of the westbound build-up at Oakville.
- Sunrise 06:30 flight: a 3:15 pickup; the highway is clear and the run is quick.

Pearson terminals and your pickup on the way home
Terminal 1 handles Air Canada and most Star Alliance airlines; Terminal 3 handles WestJet, Porter and many others, and the free Terminal Link train connects them. Always confirm on your booking or with our terminal finder. Coming home, the chauffeur tracks the flight and is timed to the actual landing, with 60 minutes of waiting included after international arrivals and 30 minutes after Canadian and US. You walk out to the terminal's pre-arranged commercial pickup area; meet and greet inside arrivals is an optional add-on with a planning figure of $25–35, and it is worth it for older parents arriving alone.
Brock University and Niagara College students
Brock University, on the escarpment in south St. Catharines, and Niagara College's campuses bring thousands of students through Pearson every August, December and April. International students landing for the first time often have two large suitcases each and no Canadian phone yet. A pre-booked car with the flight tracked removes the guesswork: the chauffeur waits, the fare is fixed, and the drop-off is the residence door. Friends arriving on the same flight can share an SUV or van and split one fare. Parents booking from abroad can pay in advance and receive the chauffeur details by email.
Wine country: Niagara-on-the-Lake pickups and winery touring
Niagara-on-the-Lake's wineries line Niagara Stone Road, Line 1 through Line 9 and the Niagara Parkway, and many guests fly in specifically to tour them. The Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Wine Country Ontario list which estates are open and which need reservations. We run winery days by the hour, $130–150 per hour in a sedan or $160–190 in an SUV with a three-hour minimum, and the chauffeur waits outside each tasting room. Details are on Niagara wine tours and our Niagara-on-the-Lake guide.

A useful pattern for visitors: land at Pearson, go straight to wine country with bags in the trunk for two or three tastings, then check in at your NOTL inn. Tell dispatch at booking and the engine prices it as an airport transfer plus hourly time.
The Shaw Festival and theatre nights
The Shaw Festival runs its season in Niagara-on-the-Lake theatres, and many Toronto theatre-goers make a day of it: lunch, a matinee, dinner and the drive home. An hourly booking covers it neatly, and the chauffeur drops you at the theatre door on Queen's Parade or in the Old Town. For St. Catharines, the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre downtown and the Meridian Centre arena host concerts and hockey; a chauffeured night means nobody watches the clock on parking.
Hotels and inns we collect from
Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake has well-known historic inns and hotels along Queen Street, Picton Street and Byron Street, plus bed-and-breakfasts on quiet residential streets where the chauffeur will park and walk to the door. In St. Catharines, the hotels clustered at the QEW and Ontario Street or Lake Street exits are the usual business pickups, along with Port Dalhousie's waterfront. Give the property name and any gate or parking instructions at booking.
Is there an airport closer than Pearson?
For scheduled flights, the alternatives are Hamilton and Buffalo. John C. Munro Hamilton airport is roughly 45 minutes from St. Catharines and has a smaller, largely leisure and domestic schedule; check flyhamilton.ca for current routes. Buffalo Niagara International is about 45–60 minutes from NOTL across the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, border permitting; see Buffalo airport. The Niagara District Airport between St. Catharines and NOTL serves general aviation rather than airlines.
Pearson still wins for long-haul international flights, most Canadian routes, connections, and any traveller whose documents make a US crossing awkward. When fares are close, the extra 30 minutes to Pearson is usually worth the wider choice of nonstop flights and backup options if something is cancelled.
Weddings in wine country
Vineyard weddings are a Niagara-on-the-Lake speciality. Couples typically need guests collected from Pearson over two days, a shuttle loop between the inns and the winery on the day, and cars back to the airport on Sunday. Sedans, SUVs and Sprinters come from our own fleet; stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce and vintage cars come from vetted partner operators, which we state on the quote. A coordinator prices the whole package in writing. See wedding limo.
Groups and corporate retreats
Conference resorts and wineries in the area host leadership retreats and incentive trips. A 14-seat Sprinter collects a group from one flight; for staggered arrivals, several sedans timed to each flight often cost less than a van waiting half a day at Pearson. Companies with regular travel can open an account; see corporate car service.
Families and car seats
Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one. Infant, convertible and booster seats are on request; add them at booking. The province's car seat guide explains which stage fits your child.
GO train, bus or private car from St. Catharines
GO Transit trains reach St. Catharines station on the Lakeshore West line, and GO buses connect to Burlington; GO Transit has the current timetable, which varies by day and season. None of these go to Pearson. You would ride to Union Station and change to UP Express, or change to a bus toward the airport, with every bag in tow. That can work for a student with a backpack on a weekday afternoon. With suitcases, children, or an early departure, the private car wins on time and effort, and for three people it often wins on price too.
Driving yourself and parking at Pearson
Parking for a week at the airport, plus fuel and 407 tolls, adds up quickly, and it means driving the QEW home after a red-eye. For trips of a week or more, parking, fuel and tolls narrow the gap to a fixed-fare car each way, and nobody in the family has to stay awake at the wheel. Compare the true cost with our fare calculator.
Queenston, the Niagara Parkway and the lakeshore
Some of the most scenic pickups are also the easiest to get wrong. Homes along the Niagara Parkway between Queenston and the Old Town have long private lanes; estates on Lakeshore Road have gates. Put the gate code or a landmark in the booking notes and the chauffeur will be at the right door rather than circling. Port Dalhousie's lakefront streets are narrow in summer, so for a larger vehicle the chauffeur may meet you at the end of the street.
Late returns and red-eye arrivals
Evening flights from Europe and the Caribbean often land after 10 p.m. The chauffeur is already tracking the flight, so a two-hour delay needs no call from you, and the car is assigned until you are home. On the drive back, the QEW is empty and the run to St. Catharines drops to about 70 minutes.
Cancellation
More than 72 hours before pickup: free. 72 hours or less: 10 %. 48 hours or less: 50 %. 24 hours or less, or a no-show: 100 %. All timings run from the scheduled pickup. Airline schedule changes are handled by a call to dispatch.
