A private car to Ripley's Aquarium of Canada drops you on Bremner Boulevard at number 288, beside the CN Tower and a short walk from Union Station. From Pearson the planning fare in a business sedan is $130–160 all-in plus HST, and an executive SUV with child seats for a family of five or six runs about 25–30 per cent more. The engine confirms the exact fare before you book.
Ripley's Aquarium transfer: who books one
The aquarium is one of the most family-heavy stops we drive to. The typical booking is not a couple on a date but two parents, three children, a stroller and a grandparent, often coming from a hotel near Pearson or from the suburbs on a rainy Saturday. For that group, a Ripley's Aquarium transfer in an executive SUV or luxury van with the right car seats already installed is simpler than wrestling strollers onto the UP Express and through Union Station.
TorontoAirportTransfer.services quotes every trip as a fixed, all-in fare in the reservation engine, including the chauffeur, fuel, any tolls and gratuity, with HST shown separately. You can book a one-way drop, a return at a set time, or an hourly chauffeur who waits while the children press their faces against the glass.
The drop-off point on Bremner Boulevard
Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is at 288 Bremner Boulevard, directly at the base of the CN Tower and east of Rogers Centre. Our chauffeurs approach along Bremner and set down at the curb nearest the aquarium's entrance plaza. It is the same stretch of street the CN Tower names as its drop-off and pick-up area, so on a normal weekday the stop takes a minute.
Where it gets complicated is event days. When the Blue Jays play or a stadium concert is on, Bremner and the streets around Rogers Centre fill with fans, and turns can be restricted. On those days the chauffeur will usually approach from the east, via Lower Simcoe Street, and may set you down slightly further along. We text the exact return meeting point before you go in.

What is inside, and how long to allow
The centrepiece is the underwater tunnel through the shark lagoon, where a moving walkway carries you slowly under sharks, rays and sawfish. Around it are galleries of Canadian and tropical waters, a softly lit jellyfish gallery, touch pools where children can reach in under staff supervision, and play areas for younger visitors.
Most families spend two to three hours inside. Toddlers usually run out of steam after about 90 minutes; school-age children and adult enthusiasts can easily stay three. For an hourly booking we suggest planning 2.5 hours inside plus travel, and our dispatchers can extend the booking by phone if you want longer.
Tickets and hours
Buy tickets on the official Ripley's Aquarium of Canada site before the car collects you. The aquarium keeps long opening hours, running well into the evening on the day we checked, but hours vary by season and for private events, so confirm on the day. We do not sell or bundle aquarium tickets and have no connection with the attraction.
Online tickets let you walk past the ticket queue, which matters most on March Break, Christmas holidays and rainy summer weekends, when the lobby can back up onto the plaza. If you are also buying CN Tower tickets, look at combination offers on each attraction's own site rather than through unofficial resellers.
When the aquarium is quietest
Chauffeurs see the patterns from the curb. Weekday mornings outside school holidays are calm until school groups arrive. The first hour after opening on a weekend is manageable. From late morning to mid-afternoon on Saturdays, Sundays, holiday Mondays and throughout March Break, expect crowds in the tunnel and at the touch pools.
Evenings are often the pleasant surprise. Once the family crowd thins, the jellyfish gallery and tunnel feel very different, and an early-evening visit pairs well with dinner on King Street West. If you are staying downtown, a short black car service ride after dinner is often all you need.
Planning fares to the aquarium
Planning figures only; the reservation engine quotes the exact addresses, date and vehicle.
| From | Business sedan | Executive SUV / luxury van | Sprinter (14) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pearson (YYZ) | $130–160 | about +25–30 % | about 2.2 times the sedan |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ) | engine quotes (very short) | engine quotes | engine quotes |
| Mississauga or Etobicoke home | engine quotes, typically 25–40 min | engine quotes | engine quotes |
| Vaughan or Markham | engine quotes, typically 35–60 min | engine quotes | engine quotes |
| Hourly (waits for you) | $130–150 per hour, 3 h min | $160–190 per hour | $225–270 per hour |
All figures include gratuity and exclude HST. See our rates page for the full band table.
Families: car seats, strollers and snacks
Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one. Request infant, convertible or booster seats in the booking and they are installed before pickup; our child car seat transfers page explains the options, and the province's car seat guidance explains which seat suits which child.
A luxury van is the family favourite because the sliding door and flat floor make loading a stroller and a sleeping toddler easier. Folding strollers go in the back with the bags. On an hourly booking you can leave the diaper bag and coats in the car, which helps, because the aquarium gets warm in winter.
From Pearson: aquarium on arrival day
Families landing mid-morning often cannot check in until mid-afternoon. Book a Pearson to downtown run on an hourly basis: the chauffeur tracks your flight, waits at the commercial pickup area (60 minutes included on international arrivals, 30 on Canadian and US), drives you to Bremner, keeps the luggage locked in the car while you visit, then takes you to the hotel.
That keeps jet-lagged children moving and gets the first afternoon out of the hotel lobby. Exact pickup instructions for Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 arrive with your confirmation; the terminal finder helps you check before you fly. Meet and greet inside the arrivals hall is an optional add-on if you want help with bags and children.
From Billy Bishop and Union Station
Porter and Air Canada passengers arriving at Billy Bishop are only minutes away. A Billy Bishop airport transfer from the mainland terminal on Eireann Quay runs up Bathurst and along Lake Shore or Queens Quay to Bremner, usually faster than the walk with a stroller.
From Union Station, most people walk: the SkyWalk leads west from the station toward the Tower and aquarium under cover. We recommend a car from Union Station only when you have luggage off a VIA or GO train or someone in the group cannot manage the distance.
Half-day itinerary with a waiting chauffeur
This is our most booked family pattern, usually three to four hours in an SUV or van.
- Pickup at home or hotel with car seats installed.
- Ripley's Aquarium at opening, about 2.5 hours inside.
- Lunch at Union Station's food hall or on Queens Quay.
- A drive along the waterfront to see the lake and the island ferries, then home or back to the hotel.
For older children, swap lunch for the CN Tower next door and eat at the top. Four hours in an executive SUV is a planning figure of $640–760 plus HST.

Full-day itinerary: aquarium, island and market
With seven or eight hours and good weather, a full day can cover much of the waterfront. Aquarium at opening; a short drive to the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal for a crossing to the Toronto Islands (the car cannot go on the ferry, so the chauffeur waits on the mainland or collects you later at an agreed time); back for an early dinner near the St. Lawrence Market or in the Distillery District; then the hotel.
Ferry tickets and timetables are published by the City of Toronto, and queues on hot weekends can be long, so an hourly booking with a relaxed pickup time takes the stress out of the day.
Rainy-day and winter plans
The aquarium is the rainy-day default for families across the Greater Toronto Area, which means it is busiest exactly when the weather is worst. On a wet Saturday, go at opening or after 5 pm. In winter the walk from the curb to the doors is short, but a chauffeured car still spares small children the cold wait for a streetcar.
A good indoor full day in bad weather: aquarium in the morning, lunch downtown, then the Royal Ontario Museum for the dinosaurs in the afternoon. Every one of our cars runs winter tires, and chauffeurs allow extra time on the Gardiner after snowfall.
Accessibility
The Bremner drop-off is step-free and the tunnel has a moving walkway, which makes the aquarium one of the easier attractions for guests with limited mobility. Check the aquarium's own site for its current accessibility services, such as wheelchair loans.
If a guest travels in their own wheelchair, book one of our wheelchair-accessible transfers so a ramp or lift vehicle is sent. Guests who can transfer to a seat travel comfortably in a luxury van, whose step-in height is lower than an SUV, with the chair folded in the back.
School groups, birthdays and teams
Birthday parties and sports teams often book a 14-seat Sprinter for a morning at the aquarium followed by lunch. Groups larger than 14 need two vehicles or a coach; coaches and party buses are provided through vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network and priced in writing by a coordinator. Our Sprinter group transportation page explains seating and luggage limits. For school trips, give dispatch the teacher's mobile number so the chauffeur can coordinate headcounts at the curb.
A layover visit from Pearson
With a daytime connection of eight hours or more and permission to enter Canada, the aquarium makes a neat layover stop. Clear the border first; most visa-exempt visitors arriving by air need an eTA. Allow 35–45 minutes each way, two hours in the aquarium, and be back at Pearson three hours before an international departure. Our guide to arriving in Canada at Pearson covers the entry steps.
How to book
Enter your pickup address or flight number in the reservation engine, set 288 Bremner Boulevard as the destination, and choose one-way, return or hourly. Add car seats and any stops in the notes. The fixed fare appears before you confirm, and cancelling more than 72 hours ahead costs nothing.
