A private transfer or limo to the CN Tower sets you down on Bremner Boulevard, just south of the Tower and east of Rogers Centre, the pick-up and drop-off point the Tower itself recommends. From Pearson the planning fare is $130–160 in a business sedan, all-in plus HST; an hourly chauffeur runs $130–150 per hour (3-hour minimum) if you want the car to wait while you go up.

CN Tower limo and private transfer: the short version

Most visitors reach the CN Tower on foot from Union Station, and that is honestly the easiest way if you are already downtown with nothing to carry. A CN Tower limo or private transfer earns its keep in three situations: you are coming straight from the airport with luggage, you are travelling with children, older relatives or someone who uses a wheelchair, or you are stringing the Tower together with other stops across the city in one day.

TorontoAirportTransfer.services quotes the whole trip as one fixed fare in the reservation engine before you confirm: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls where used and gratuity, with HST on its own line. There is no meter ticking while Gardiner traffic crawls past Spadina and no surge when a Blue Jays game lets out next door. Book a point-to-point transfer if you only need to get there, or book the hourly chauffeur service if you want the same car and driver waiting when you come back down.

Exactly where the car drops you off

The address to give any driver is 290 Bremner Boulevard. The CN Tower's own getting-here page says guests may be dropped off and picked up on Bremner Boulevard, just south of the Tower and just east of Rogers Centre, and that Bremner is the most convenient approach for visitors with limited mobility. That is where our chauffeurs pull in.

Coming from the west we usually leave the Gardiner at Spadina Avenue, run south and turn east on Bremner. From the east or from Union Station we come along Bremner past the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. On game days and concert nights Bremner fills with pedestrians and police may restrict turns near Rogers Centre, so the chauffeur may set you down a block east, near the aquarium entrance, and text the exact meeting point for the return.

Other ways in: SkyWalk and the John Street bridge

The Tower has two pedestrian approaches worth knowing. The SkyWalk is an enclosed walkway from Union Station that brings you out beside the Tower without crossing traffic, which is useful in January sleet. The second is the Rod Robbie Bridge, the outdoor footbridge that carries John Street over the rail corridor from Front Street West.

This matters for pick-ups. If you finish at the Tower and want to be collected somewhere quieter than Bremner on a busy night, the chauffeur can wait on Front Street near John Street or at a hotel entrance north of the tracks, and you walk across the bridge in a couple of minutes. Tell dispatch which side of the tracks you prefer when you book.

How long to allow at the CN Tower

For the main observation level with the Glass Floor and the outdoor terrace, plan on 90 minutes to two hours door to door, including the security screening and the elevator queue. Add time if you have tickets for The Top, the higher pod that sits well above the main level, or if you are booked into 360 Restaurant, which turns slowly so you see the whole skyline over dinner.

EdgeWalk, the hands-free circuit around the outside of the pod while tethered to an overhead rail, is a separate experience with its own briefing and gear-up, so treat it as a half-day commitment rather than something you squeeze in. The Tower also sells guided VIP tours of about 90 minutes. Our chauffeurs pad any hourly booking by 30 minutes for elevator waits on summer weekends.

Tickets and timing: buy before you ride

Buy tickets on the official CN Tower site before the car picks you up. Admission levels, EdgeWalk slots and restaurant reservations all sell out on long weekends, and the Tower occasionally closes parts of the Main Observation Level for maintenance, which it announces on its homepage. We do not sell or bundle Tower tickets, and we have no affiliation with the attraction; we simply drive you there.

The best light is the hour before sunset, when you can watch the city switch from daylight to street lights and see the planes lining up over the lake for Billy Bishop. Clear winter mornings give the longest views. Fog and low cloud off Lake Ontario can hide everything below the pod, so check the forecast on Environment Canada the morning of your visit and keep a flexible slot if you can.

From Pearson straight to the Tower with luggage

Plenty of visitors land at Pearson in the morning, cannot check in until 3 pm and want to see something rather than sit in a lobby. Book a Pearson-to-downtown transfer with a stop: the chauffeur tracks your flight, meets you at the terminal's commercial pickup area, drives you to Bremner, keeps the bags in the locked trunk while you go up, then delivers you to the hotel.

That is an hourly booking rather than a point-to-point fare, because the car is waiting for you. Three hours covers the airport run, a comfortable Tower visit and the hotel drop in most traffic. The Tower's security screening does not allow large suitcases, so leaving them with the chauffeur is the practical answer. Check which terminal you land at with our terminal finder.

From Billy Bishop and Union Station

If you fly Porter or Air Canada into Billy Bishop, the Tower is almost visible from the mainland terminal on Eireann Quay. A Billy Bishop airport transfer up Bathurst and along Queens Quay or Lake Shore takes only a few minutes outside rush hour, which makes the Tower a natural first stop before a midtown hotel.

From Union Station, walk. The SkyWalk is signed from the concourse and takes you there under cover. We only suggest a car from Union Station if you are carrying luggage off a VIA or GO train, travelling with someone who cannot manage the walk, or heading on to somewhere well outside the core afterward.

Combining the Tower with nearby sights

The CN Tower sits in the tightest cluster of attractions in the city, so combine it with neighbours rather than spending time in the car between them.

  • Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is at the foot of the Tower on Bremner; you can walk between the two in a few minutes.
  • Rogers Centre, home of the Blue Jays, is immediately west; see our notes on game-day transfers.
  • Roundhouse Park, with its restored locomotives, is directly beside the Tower on Bremner.
  • The waterfront and Toronto Islands ferries are a short walk south across Lake Shore Boulevard and Queens Quay.
  • The Hockey Hall of Fame and the St. Lawrence Market are a short drive east.

Half-day hourly chauffeur itinerary

A three- to four-hour booking suits a morning arrival or a family who wants the highlights without transit.

  1. Hotel or airport pickup; drive along the Gardiner so first-timers see the skyline from the highway.
  2. Drop on Bremner at the Tower; about 90 minutes up top including the Glass Floor.
  3. Walk next door to Ripley's while the car waits, or skip it and ride five minutes to Queens Quay for lunch by the water.
  4. Short drive east to the Hockey Hall of Fame or the St. Lawrence Market, then back to the hotel.

On an hourly chauffeur booking in a sedan at $130–150 per hour, four hours works out to a planning figure of $520–600 plus HST for up to three passengers.

Full-day itinerary: Tower, midtown and a dinner at the top

For a full day, book seven or eight hours and let the chauffeur keep the order flexible around the weather. A pattern that works: Casa Loma at opening, when the castle is quiet; the Royal Ontario Museum through lunch; a drive through Yorkville and down University Avenue; then the CN Tower late in the afternoon so you catch sunset. Finish with dinner at 360 Restaurant and a drop at the hotel.

Our Toronto city tours page covers chauffeured sightseeing in more depth. For six guests, an executive SUV or a luxury van at $160–190 per hour keeps everyone in one vehicle; larger groups need a Sprinter.

Layover idea from Pearson

With a daytime layover of eight hours or more, and only if you are allowed to enter Canada, the Tower is the classic quick visit. You must clear the Canada Border Services Agency first, which means holding the right document: most visa-exempt visitors arriving by air need an eTA, and US citizens do not. Read our guide to arriving in Canada at Pearson before you commit.

A realistic plan: clear the border, meet the chauffeur, 35–45 minutes downtown, 90 minutes at the Tower, 45 minutes back to the departures curb, and be at the airport at least three hours before an international departure. The car waits the whole time, so you are never hunting for a ride home. If the flight is delayed, tracking moves the pickup automatically.

Families, strollers and car seats

The Tower is manageable with young children, and the Glass Floor is usually the highlight. Strollers go up in the elevators, but summer queues can be long, so the late-afternoon slot on a weekday is calmer. Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one; the province's car seat guidance explains the stages.

Our chauffeurs install the seats before pickup. If you are going on to the aquarium next door, the seats simply stay in the car.

Accessibility at the Tower and in the car

Bremner Boulevard is the step-free approach the Tower itself recommends for guests with mobility needs, and the nearest designated accessible parking is at Rogers Centre with a limited number of reserved spaces. A chauffeur drop removes the parking question entirely.

For a guest who stays in their own wheelchair, book one of our wheelchair-accessible transfers so the correct ramp or lift vehicle is dispatched. For someone who can transfer to a seat, a sedan or SUV works and the chauffeur stows a folding chair in the trunk. Mention it at booking so we choose a car with room for it.

Game days, concerts and other busy days

The Tower shares Bremner with Rogers Centre, Scotiabank Arena is a few minutes east, and the convention centre sits across the street. When any of them has a big event, traffic on Bremner, Lower Simcoe and Spadina backs up and the drop point can move. Our dispatchers check the Blue Jays, Raptors, Leafs and convention calendars and adjust the pickup time and location.

Canada Day and New Year's Eve are special cases because of fireworks crowds on the waterfront; plan to be dropped north of Front Street and walk. Long weekends in summer bring the heaviest Tower queues, so a timed ticket bought in advance is the single best thing you can do.

Winter visits

Winter is underrated. The air is often clearer, the queues are shorter and the SkyWalk keeps you out of the wind from Union Station. On the road, the Gardiner and Lake Shore can slow sharply in the first snow of the season, so allow an extra 15–20 minutes from Pearson between December and March. Every car carries winter tires, and chauffeurs drop you as close to the doors as Bremner allows so nobody slips on slush.

Choosing the right vehicle

  • Business sedan, up to 3 passengers and 3 bags: couples and solo travellers.
  • Executive SUV, up to 6 and 6: families with luggage coming straight from Pearson.
  • Luxury van, up to 6 and 6: easier step-in for grandparents and strollers.
  • Sprinter, up to 14: school groups, teams and wedding parties doing photos at the Tower.

Compare every class on our fleet page. Stretch limousines and party buses for a special-occasion Tower visit are provided through vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network and priced in writing by a coordinator.

How to book a CN Tower transfer

Open the reservation engine, enter your pickup (flight number for airport pickups), set the drop-off as 290 Bremner Boulevard, and choose one-way or hourly. The fixed fare appears before you confirm. Add child seats, meet and greet inside the arrivals hall, or an extra stop in the notes. Cancellations more than 72 hours before pickup cost nothing; the sliding scale after that is on the booking confirmation.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Where do taxis and limos drop off at the CN Tower?

The CN Tower recommends Bremner Boulevard, just south of the Tower and east of Rogers Centre, for drop-off and pick-up. The street address to give any driver is 290 Bremner Boulevard. On game days or concert nights police sometimes restrict traffic near Rogers Centre, so a chauffeur may set you down a short distance east and text the exact return meeting point.

How much is a private car from Pearson Airport to the CN Tower?

In a business sedan the planning figure is $130–160 one way, all-in including gratuity, plus HST. An executive SUV or luxury van runs roughly 25–30 per cent more. If you want the car to wait while you go up, book an hourly chauffeur at $130–150 per hour with a three-hour minimum. The reservation engine shows the exact fare before you confirm.

How long should I spend at the CN Tower?

Allow 90 minutes to two hours for the main observation level, Glass Floor and outdoor terrace, including security and elevator queues. Add time for The Top or a meal at 360 Restaurant. EdgeWalk has its own briefing and gear-up, so treat it as a half-day. Summer weekends and long weekends bring the longest waits.

Can I bring luggage to the CN Tower?

Large suitcases are not practical at the Tower's security screening. If you are coming straight from the airport, book an hourly chauffeur so your bags stay locked in the trunk while you visit, then continue to your hotel. It is the simplest way to sightsee before check-in time without looking for somewhere to store suitcases.

What is the best time of day to visit the CN Tower?

The hour before sunset gives you the city in daylight and then with its lights on, which is why late-afternoon tickets sell out first. Clear winter mornings offer the longest views across Lake Ontario. Low cloud and fog can hide the ground entirely, so check the weather forecast and keep your plans flexible if you can.

Is the CN Tower accessible for wheelchair users?

The Tower describes Bremner Boulevard as the most convenient approach for visitors with mobility needs, and accessible parking is limited to reserved spaces at Rogers Centre. A chauffeured drop avoids parking altogether. Book a wheelchair-accessible vehicle if the passenger stays in their chair, or a sedan or SUV with room for a folding chair if they can transfer.

Can I visit the CN Tower on a layover at Pearson?

Yes, if you can legally enter Canada and have a daytime layover of around eight hours or more. You must clear the border first, so check whether you need an eTA. Allow 35–45 minutes each way, about 90 minutes at the Tower, and return to Pearson at least three hours before an international flight. An hourly chauffeur keeps the timing safe.
