A Kingston station transfer with TorontoAirportTransfer.services is a pre-booked chauffeured car from the Kingston VIA station at 1800 John Counter Boulevard to Queen's University, RMC, downtown hotels, Kingston airport, Toronto or Pearson. The planning figure to Pearson is $675–780 one way in a business sedan, all-in plus HST. The reservation engine shows the exact fixed fare first.
Kingston station transfer: where the station is
Kingston's VIA Rail station is not downtown. It sits at 1800 John Counter Boulevard in the north-west of the city, roughly 7 kilometres from the downtown core and the waterfront, close to Highway 401. VIA Rail Corridor trains between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal stop here, and Kingston is one of the busiest intermediate stations on that line. There is no GO Transit service to Kingston. A Kingston station transfer means a chauffeur is waiting at the agreed pickup point when your train arrives and drives you on, whether that is ten minutes to Queen's University or three hours to Pearson. It is also the leg people underestimate: the station is far enough from downtown that a car or bus is always needed.
What a Kingston station car costs
The planning figure for Kingston to Pearson is $675–780 one way in a business sedan, all-in plus HST. That includes the chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, Highway 407 tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity. An executive SUV or luxury van is about 25–30 % more, a first-class sedan about 50 % more, and a Sprinter for up to 14 roughly 2.2 times the sedan fare, which for a team or a family group can be the cheapest seat-per-person option. Local trips from the station to Queen's, RMC, downtown hotels or Kingston's airport are quoted by exact address. The number you see in the reservation engine is the whole bill. The complete grid is on our Toronto airport limo rates page.
| Trip from Kingston VIA station | Vehicle | Planning figure (one way, + HST) |

| To Kingston airport (YGK) | Any class | quoted by address |
| Hourly (visits, meetings) | Sedan / SUV | $130–150 / $160–190 per hour, 3 h min |
Where the chauffeur meets you at Kingston station
The Kingston station has a parking lot and a pick-up and drop-off area in front of the building. The fare includes a curbside pickup there: dispatch texts the car's plate and position about 20 minutes before your train, you walk out with your bags and the chauffeur loads them. If you want the chauffeur inside with a name board, add meet and greet at booking; the planning figure is $25–35, and it is worth it for older travellers and first-time visitors. We track the VIA train in real time, so a late arrival does not cost you extra. Station pickups include 15 minutes of waiting from actual arrival, then 15-minute blocks, and dispatch messages you before any extra waiting starts.
Kingston to Pearson: the long-distance run
Kingston to Pearson is about 290 kilometres along Highway 401. With clear roads, the drive takes around three hours; add time at the Toronto end on weekday afternoons and Friday evenings, when the 401 through Scarborough and North York crawls. The chauffeur often switches to Highway 407 at its eastern end to bypass the worst of Toronto's traffic, and the fare already includes those tolls. For an international flight, we recommend leaving Kingston about five hours before departure. On a long run like this you can ask for a rest stop at a service centre on the 401, and the chauffeur plans one for trips with children. For more on long trips, see our long-distance car service page.

Why travellers take a car instead of the train to Pearson
VIA trains from Kingston reach Toronto Union Station in roughly two and a half hours, and from there UP Express goes to Pearson Terminal 1 in about 25 minutes. That works for a light traveller whose train times match the flight. Many travellers still choose a car. Early international departures often fall before the first practical train, and a delayed train can wreck a tight connection with no rebooking by the airline. A family of four with suitcases pays for four train tickets and four UP Express fares and still changes trains with luggage. A single car fare covers everyone door to door, and an executive SUV holds six bags. See our limo vs Uber vs taxi vs UP Express guide for the full comparison.
Queen's University students and families
Queen's University is on the waterfront south-west of downtown, a 15-minute drive or so from the station. At move-in in late August and early September, at exam time in December and April, and at convocation, the station is full of students and parents with luggage, and taxis and rides run short. We handle residence move-ins, parents arriving for Homecoming or convocation, and international students connecting from Pearson with a year's worth of bags. An executive SUV or luxury van seats six with six bags; a Sprinter moves a team or an extended family. For a student arriving at Pearson from overseas, a single car straight to the residence door avoids two train changes.

Royal Military College of Canada
The Royal Military College of Canada is on Point Frederick, east of downtown across the Cataraqui River. Cadets, their families and official visitors arriving by train often need a reliable car to the college, to Fort Henry or to downtown hotels for graduation week and ceremonies. We drive to the college's visitor entrance and follow any access instructions you give us; please put those in the booking notes because security arrangements can change for events. For groups of visiting officials, multiple coordinated vehicles can be staged at the station for the same train.
Kingston airport (YGK) connections
Kingston Norman Rogers Airport (YGK) is on the west side of the city, not far from the rail station. It handles general aviation, charters and a limited scheduled connection; the Kingston airport site currently points travellers to Air Canada for the scheduled options, so check there for what is operating on your date. We drive train passengers to and from YGK for charters, private flights and scheduled connections, and the reservation engine quotes the short run by address. Our Kingston airport transfer page explains terminal drop-off and pickup.
Downtown Kingston hotels and events
Downtown Kingston, with its limestone buildings, the waterfront, the market square and Fort Henry across the bridge, is where most visitors stay. From the station, the chauffeur takes Princess Street or John Counter Boulevard and Division Street towards downtown, depending on traffic, and drops you at your hotel's door. Summer brings festivals, cruise passengers and weddings at waterfront venues; the City of Kingston site lists events and road works. For a wedding party arriving by train, we can stage vehicles at the station; stretch limousines and coaches come from vetted partner operators and are priced in writing by a coordinator.
Kingston to Toronto and Ottawa by car
Not every Kingston trip goes to Pearson. We also drive from the station to downtown Toronto, to Billy Bishop Airport, to Ottawa and to the Thousand Islands region, and people returning to Toronto after a missed VIA connection often book us on the spot. Drives to Toronto follow the same 401 and 407 corridor as the Pearson run; the Ottawa leg is about two hours via Highway 401 and 416 or 15. Every trip is quoted by exact address in the reservation engine. Our Kingston to Toronto airport car service page covers the airport-to-Kingston direction, including flight tracking and the 60-minute international or 30-minute Canadian and US waiting allowance at Pearson.
Choosing a vehicle for a long ride
On a three-hour drive, comfort matters more than on a crosstown hop. A business sedan seats three with three bags; a first-class sedan (S-Class or 7 Series class) is quieter and more comfortable for a long run and is the usual choice for executives. An executive SUV — Escalade, Navigator or Suburban — seats six with six bags and handles winter weather on the 401 with confidence. A luxury van seats six with six bags and is easy to get in and out of. A Sprinter carries up to 14 with luggage. All vehicles on our own dispatch run winter tires in the cold months. Details are in our chauffeured fleet.
Winter on the 401 between Kingston and Toronto
The 401 between Kingston and Toronto is exposed to lake-effect snow and wind off Lake Ontario, and whiteouts around Port Hope, Cobourg and Belleville are not unusual in January and February. Dispatch checks Ontario 511 before every long winter trip and may suggest an earlier departure for a flight. If conditions make the drive unsafe, we call you to reschedule rather than send a car into a closure. Child seats (infant, convertible, booster) are available on request and should be added at booking; the Ontario car seat guidance explains the rules, which apply to private vehicles and limousines but not taxis.
Arriving at Pearson and heading to Kingston
Many of our Kingston trips run the other way: a traveller lands at Pearson and needs to reach Kingston the same evening, often after a long-haul flight. The chauffeur tracks the flight and times the pickup to the real landing, with 60 minutes of waiting included after an international arrival and 30 minutes after a Canadian or US one. Rather than dragging bags to UP Express, across Union Station and onto a VIA train that may already have left, you walk out to the car at the pre-arranged commercial pickup area and sleep most of the way east. The chauffeur can stop at the Kingston station if your car is parked there, or go straight to your home, hotel or residence. Our Toronto airport car service page explains the pickup process at both Pearson terminals.
Missed trains and same-day rescue trips
Corridor trains occasionally run very late or are cancelled because of freight congestion, weather or equipment problems, and the knock-on effect for travellers with a flight to catch can be serious. If your VIA train from Kingston is cancelled and you have a flight out of Pearson, call dispatch; when a car is available we will quote a fixed fare in the reservation engine and send a chauffeur to the station as quickly as possible. We cannot promise same-hour availability on every day, but a long-distance run booked a few hours ahead is usually possible. Keep your airline informed, and remember that on a three-hour drive every half hour of notice helps.
How to book your Kingston station pickup
Open the reservation engine and choose "From station". Enter Kingston VIA station (1800 John Counter Boulevard), your destination, your VIA train number and scheduled arrival, then choose the vehicle and extras. The fixed fare appears before you confirm. For a Pearson drop, add your flight number and terminal in the notes so the chauffeur plans the departure time around it. Cancellations more than 72 hours before pickup are free; 72 hours or less is 10 %, 48 hours or less 50 %, and 24 hours or less or a no-show 100 %, all measured from the scheduled pickup.
