A Distillery District limo or private car stops at the edge of the pedestrian-only district, usually at the Trinity Street gates by 55 Mill Street, because no cars drive inside. From Pearson the planning fare is close to the $130–160 downtown band in a business sedan, all-in plus HST. For dinner or the Winter Village, book an hourly chauffeur at $130–150 per hour so the car is waiting when you leave.
Distillery District limo and car service: how it works
The Distillery Historic District is a car-free village of Victorian brick industrial buildings east of downtown, with the official address 55 Mill Street. Once you are inside, everything is on foot over cobblestones: galleries, boutiques, cafés, restaurants, a brewery and the spaces that host festivals through the year. That shapes every Distillery District limo or car service booking, because the chauffeur's job is to set you down and collect you at the right gate, not to drive you to a door.
TorontoAirportTransfer.services quotes the trip as one fixed fare in the reservation engine, covering chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls where used and gratuity, with HST shown separately. Most people book either a simple drop or an hourly chauffeur for an evening, because getting a ride out of the district on a busy Saturday night is the hard part.
Where the car drops you off
Our usual set-down point is on Trinity Street at Mill Street, by the district's main gates. It puts you straight onto Trinity Street, the main pedestrian lane, with the central courtyards a minute's walk away. When Trinity is congested, the chauffeur uses Mill Street further east toward Cherry Street, or Parliament Street on the western edge, and tells you by text where the return pickup will be.
From Pearson or the west, we come along the Gardiner, drop down to Lake Shore Boulevard and turn north on Parliament or Cherry. From midtown we run down the Don Valley Parkway or Parliament Street. Allow extra time on weekend evenings and during the Winter Village, when the approach streets fill with rideshare cars circling for passengers.

Opening hours and how long to allow
The district says it is open 364 days a year. At the time of writing its shops keep hours of 10 am to 8 pm Monday to Wednesday, 10 am to 9 pm Thursday to Saturday and 11 am to 8 pm on Sunday; restaurants and bars stay open later. Check the Distillery District's website for current hours and festival listings. We have no affiliation with the district or its businesses.
For browsing and a coffee, allow 90 minutes to two hours. With lunch or dinner, three to four hours is typical. During the Winter Village, visitors often spend a whole evening, so we suggest hourly service with an agreed pickup time rather than a one-way drop.
Winter Village 2026: dates and tickets
The Distillery Winter Village, Toronto's best-known Christmas market, runs from November 12, 2026 to January 3, 2027 according to its official site, with the tree lighting on Thursday, November 12 at 6 pm. Tickets are required on some days; the market's ticketing page lists which, and New Year's Eve is a paid event from 7 pm to midnight.
These are the busiest weeks of the year on the surrounding streets. Book the car early, choose an hourly booking so the chauffeur waits nearby, and agree a pickup corner away from the main gates, such as Mill Street near Cherry, so you are not searching for your car in the crowd. We plan extra time for the approach on weekend nights in December.

Getting there without a car
King Street streetcars stop at King and Parliament, a short walk from Trinity Street, and streetcars also run on Cherry Street along the district's eastern side; check the TTC for current routes and diversions. From Pearson, the UP Express to Union and a streetcar is the low-cost option for light travellers. A private car makes sense after dinner, with luggage, with small children or older relatives, or on a bitter December night.
From Pearson on arrival day
The district is a popular first-evening destination for visitors staying in the St. Lawrence and Corktown hotels. Book a Pearson to downtown transfer to the hotel, or book hourly and go straight to an early dinner with the bags locked in the car. The chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you at the terminal's commercial pickup area; international arrivals include 60 minutes of waiting from actual landing and Canadian and US arrivals 30.
Check your terminal on our terminal finder. If you want someone inside the arrivals hall with a name board, add meet and greet at booking.
Combining the district with nearby sights
The Distillery sits in the old industrial east end, now full of new parks and neighbourhoods.
- The St. Lawrence Market is about a ten-minute drive west, and a natural morning stop before an afternoon here.
- Corktown Common, a landscaped park with splash pads and trails, is a short walk east toward Bayview Avenue.
- Sugar Beach and the waterfront promenade are a short drive south along Queens Quay.
- The Canary District and the new neighbourhoods along Cherry Street border the district to the east.
- The Hockey Hall of Fame is ten minutes west on Front Street.
Half-day itinerary with a waiting chauffeur
- Late-morning pickup and a ride to the St. Lawrence Market for brunch.
- Short drive east to Trinity Street; two hours of galleries, design shops and coffee.
- A waterfront loop past Sugar Beach and the island ferry docks.
- Back to the hotel, or on to an early dinner.
Four hours in a sedan through our hourly chauffeur service is a planning figure of $520–600 plus HST.

Full-day itinerary: markets, museums and the waterfront
A seven- to eight-hour day works well in any season. Start at the Art Gallery of Ontario or the CN Tower, lunch at the St. Lawrence Market, stroll the district in the afternoon light, and finish with dinner in one of its restaurants. The chauffeur handles every leg and waits at the gates at the end of the night.
For more chauffeured sightseeing plans, see our Toronto city tours page. For up to six, an executive SUV or luxury van at $160–190 per hour keeps the group together.
Festivals, weddings and photo shoots
Beyond the Winter Village, the district hosts festivals and events through the year, including an Oktoberfest, and the brick lanes are a favourite backdrop for engagement and wedding photos. Wedding parties often book a Sprinter for the bridal party plus a sedan for the couple; see our wedding limo page. Stretch limousines, party buses and Rolls-Royce cars are provided by vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, and multi-vehicle weddings are priced in writing by a coordinator.
For birthday and bachelorette nights, see our bachelor and bachelorette page. Remember that no vehicle can enter the pedestrian lanes, so photos with the car are taken at the gates.
A little history for the ride over
The district grew out of the Gooderham and Worts distillery, whose story the district traces back to 1832, and through the nineteenth century it grew into a major industrial complex on the eastern waterfront. Production ended in the late twentieth century, and the preserved brick warehouses, tank houses and malting buildings were reopened as a pedestrian village of shops, studios and restaurants. Chauffeurs who drive the route regularly will point out the old rail spurs and the industrial detailing as you arrive along Mill Street.
Client dinners and corporate evenings
The district's restaurants and event spaces are popular for client dinners, team outings and product launches. For a host entertaining four to six guests, an executive SUV collects everyone from a downtown hotel and waits for the evening; larger teams take a Sprinter. Our client entertainment page explains how we plan multi-stop evenings and invoice them to a corporate account.
Families and older visitors
Cobblestones are charming but uneven, which matters for strollers, walkers and anyone unsteady on their feet. A drop at the Trinity Street gates keeps the walk short. Whatever the exemptions for taxis and buses, we fit the right child seat for every child who needs one.
For a guest who stays in their own wheelchair, book one of our wheelchair-accessible transfers. Ask the district or the specific restaurant about step-free entrances before you go, because some historic buildings have steps.
Evenings out: why hourly beats a one-way drop
On a busy evening, the problem is not getting to the Distillery but getting home. Rideshare pickups cluster on Mill and Parliament, surge pricing kicks in around closing time, and hailing a cab is unreliable. With an hourly booking the chauffeur waits nearby and comes round when you text, at a fixed price you saw when you booked. For a dinner of three hours plus travel, the three-hour minimum usually covers it.
A layover visit from Pearson
A long daytime layover of eight hours or more, for travellers eligible to enter Canada, can include a Distillery lunch and a waterfront drive. Clear the border first; most visa-exempt visitors arriving by air need an eTA. Allow 40–50 minutes each way at busy times, two hours in the district, and three hours at Pearson before an international flight. Our guide to arriving in Canada at Pearson explains the arrival steps.
How to book
Enter your pickup address or flight number in the reservation engine, set 55 Mill Street as the destination and note "Trinity Street gates", then choose one-way, return or hourly. Add car seats or extra stops in the notes. The fixed fare appears before you confirm, and cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
