Ottawa limousine service rates are usually hourly for local events and fixed for transfers. Our planning figures are $130–150 per hour for a sedan and $160–190 for an SUV (3-hour minimum), $225–330 per hour for a stretch limousine (4-hour minimum, partner vehicle) and $975–1,125 fixed for a sedan from Ottawa to Toronto Pearson. Always compare all-in totals, not headline hourly prices.
This post breaks down Ottawa limousine service rates so you can budget and compare quotes. For our Ottawa service in general, including the long-distance run to Toronto and the vehicles we send, see the Ottawa to Toronto Pearson car service page. Here the focus is on prices: how they are built, what is included and how to read any quote.
How are limousine rates in Ottawa calculated?
Almost every limousine operator prices in one of two ways:
- Hourly, with a minimum. Used for weddings, galas, nights out, tours and meetings where the car waits. You pay for the time the car is reserved, from pickup to final drop, subject to a minimum number of hours.
- Flat, point to point. Used for transfers such as an airport run or a long-distance trip to Toronto or Montreal. You pay one fixed price regardless of traffic.
A good operator tells you which model applies before you book. Our airport and long-distance fares are fixed, and the reservation engine shows them before you confirm. Hourly bookings are quoted in writing with the minimum and what happens if you run over.
Hourly planning figures by vehicle
| Vehicle | Seats | Hourly planning figure | Minimum | Supplied by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | 3 | $130–150 | 3 hours | our chauffeurs or a network partner |
| Executive SUV | 6 | $160–190 | 3 hours | our chauffeurs or a network partner |
| Sprinter | 14 | $225–270 | 3 hours | our chauffeurs or a network partner |
| Stretch limousine | 8–10 | $225–330 | 4 hours | partner operator |
| Party bus | 16–36 | $330–525 | 4–5 hours | partner operator |
| Rolls-Royce / Maybach | 3 | from $525 | 3 hours | partner operator |
These are the same hourly planning figures we use in Toronto. Stretch limousines, party buses and Rolls-Royce vehicles are always supplied by vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, and the quote says so.
What does "positioning" mean on an Ottawa quote?
Our chauffeurs are based in Toronto. For a local Ottawa booking, we either send a car from Toronto or dispatch a partner operator based in Ottawa. When a car is positioned from Toronto, the travel time to reach Ottawa is part of the cost, and it is priced into the quote rather than added as a surprise line later.
For a single evening event, a local partner usually offers better value. For a day that includes the long drive, such as an Ottawa wedding followed by a run to Pearson for the honeymoon flight the next morning, positioning a Toronto car can make sense. The written quote states which applies.
Worked examples: what real bookings cost
Using the planning figures above, here are typical totals before HST:
- An evening at the National Arts Centre for two: business sedan, 3 hours, about $390–450.
- A client dinner with three guests in the ByWard Market: executive SUV, 3 hours, about $480–570.
- A wedding with a stretch limousine: 6 hours, about $1,350–1,980 from a partner operator.
- A bachelorette party bus: 5 hours at $330–525, about $1,650–2,625.
- Ottawa to Pearson for an international flight: business sedan, fixed planning figure $975–1,125.
The reservation engine and a written quote give the exact figures for your date.

What should an all-in rate include?
When you compare operators, make sure each quote covers the same things. Ours includes:
- The chauffeur and the vehicle.
- Fuel.
- 407 ETR tolls if the chauffeur uses the 407 on a long-distance run.
- Airport fees on airport transfers.
- Gratuity.
HST is shown separately. Many operators quote a low hourly figure and then add fuel, an administration fee and a percentage gratuity as separate lines. None of that is wrong if it is disclosed, but it makes headline rates misleading. Compare the final total.
Hourly vs flat: which is cheaper?
For a trip where the car simply takes you from A to B, a flat fare is almost always cheaper than an hourly booking with a minimum. For an evening with several stops and waiting, hourly is usually cheaper than stringing together separate transfers, and the car stays with you.
A useful test: if the car would sit idle for less than an hour between legs, book hourly. If you have one ride out and one ride back several hours apart, two flat transfers may cost less. Our sibling post on limousine service rates, hourly vs flat works through more examples.
What does the Ottawa to Pearson run cost by vehicle?
The long-distance run to Toronto is the booking we make most often from Ottawa. It is priced as a fixed fare, not hourly:
- Business sedan: $975–1,125.
- First-class sedan: about 50 per cent more.
- Executive SUV or luxury van: about 25–30 per cent more.
- Sprinter: about 2.2 times the sedan.
Those planning figures include fuel, any 407 tolls, airport fees and gratuity, with HST separate. For how the bus and train compare on this trip, see our post on the bus from Ottawa to Toronto airport vs a chauffeur.
What drives the price up or down?
- Date. Wedding season, graduation weeks, New Year's Eve and major events in the capital fill fleets early.
- Vehicle. A stretch or party bus costs far more per hour than a sedan.
- Hours. Minimums apply; a 90-minute errand still costs the minimum.
- Distance outside the city. Trips to Gatineau Park, wineries or Montreal add time.
- Positioning. A car sent from Toronto costs more than a local one for a short booking.
Booking early helps availability more than price. Our fares do not surge with demand.
Wedding rates in Ottawa
Weddings are the most common hourly limousine booking. A typical plan uses one vehicle for the couple, possibly a second for the wedding party, from about two hours before the ceremony to after the photographs. Stretch limousines and classic cars are partner vehicles, priced in writing by a coordinator.
Ask for a timeline-based quote that shows pickup, ceremony, photo stops, reception arrival and any late-night return. Our wedding limo page covers the planning, and our limousine service for weddings planning guide has a checklist.
Corporate and government rates
Ottawa has a large volume of business, government and diplomatic travel. Corporate bookings are usually hourly for meeting days and fixed for airport and long-distance legs. Accounts can be set up with monthly invoicing. For delegations and visiting officials, discretion and punctuality matter more than the vehicle model.
See our corporate car service and VIP delegations and consular pages. For conference visitors, Ottawa Tourism lists major events and venues.

Questions to ask before you pay any limousine deposit
- Is the rate hourly or flat, and what is the minimum?
- What is included: fuel, tolls, gratuity, airport fees?
- Is HST included or extra?
- Who operates the vehicle: the company you are booking, or a partner?
- How is extra time billed if the event runs long?
- What is the cancellation policy, in hours before pickup?
- Is the vehicle licensed and insured for commercial passenger service?
Our cancellation policy: free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10 per cent at 72 hours or less; 50 per cent at 48 hours or less; the full fare at 24 hours or less or for a no-show.
Montreal, Kingston and other runs from Ottawa
Beyond Toronto, the long-distance transfers we price most often from Ottawa are to Montreal-Trudeau airport and downtown Montreal, to Kingston, and to cottage country. All are flat fares from the reservation engine, not hourly bookings, and they include fuel, tolls where used and gratuity.
Montreal is roughly two hours away, so it is a practical alternative to Pearson for some European flights. Our Toronto to Montreal route page and Montreal airport page cover that side of the map. For trips that combine several stops, such as a meeting in Kingston on the way to Toronto, ask dispatch to price the whole day as one booking.
Local transit and taxis: the honest alternatives
For many trips around Ottawa, OC Transpo, including the O-Train, and ordinary taxis or rideshare are the cheapest answer, and you should use them when they fit. A limousine is for occasions, for groups travelling together, and for days when the car's waiting time is the point.
For the trip to Pearson, the bus and train are cheaper for solo travellers; the car becomes better value as the party grows.
Airport transfers inside Ottawa: YOW and the train station
Not every Ottawa limousine booking is a long-distance run. Transfers to Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport and to the Ottawa VIA Rail station are short, fixed-fare trips priced by the reservation engine from your exact address. They are not hourly, and they do not carry a three-hour minimum.
For arrivals at YOW, the chauffeur tracks the flight and waits from actual landing: 60 minutes for international arrivals and 30 for Canadian and US. The YOW airport site lists airlines and terminal information, and our Ottawa YOW page covers our service there. When a local partner operates the car, the quote says so, and the same standards apply.
Seasonal demand in the capital
Some weeks are busier than others. June is heavy with weddings and graduations; late June and early July bring national celebrations downtown; winter brings festivals and conferences. During these periods, fleets fill early, especially stretch limousines and party buses.
Our fares do not surge, but availability does run out. Book specialty vehicles as early as you can, and confirm road closures around downtown events so the chauffeur can plan pickup points. Ottawa Tourism's event listings help with dates.
Sample quote: a full wedding day
A realistic wedding quote in Ottawa lists each leg. For example:
- Pickup of the couple at 1:00 p.m. at a hotel in Centretown.
- Ceremony at 2:00 p.m.
- Photographs at two locations until 4:30 p.m.
- Arrival at the reception at 5:00 p.m.
- Car released, or a late-night return at 11:30 p.m. priced as a separate transfer.
Six hours of a stretch limousine at the planning range above, plus a separate late transfer in a sedan, gives the couple a clear total with no idle hours between 5 and 11:30 p.m.
How to get a quote
For airport and long-distance transfers, enter your address and date in the reservation engine, which shows the fixed fare before you confirm. For weddings, party buses, multi-vehicle events and local hourly bookings in Ottawa, send us the details and a coordinator will price it in writing, stating which vehicles are ours and which come from partners.
